Friday, October 16th
Dalvin Cook, RB | Minnesota Vikings (Groin): There was talk during the early parts of the week that Dalvin Cook wouldn’t play in week 6. Cook was a non-participant at practice on Friday, and the Vikings have officially ruled him “out” for Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings could be using this as a maintenance week for Cook, seeing as the team has a week 7 bye. Alexander Mattison, who exploded for 112 yards on 20 carries in week 5, will fill in for Cook against the Falcons Sunday and flirts with RB1 upside.
DJ Chark, WR | Jacksonville Jaguars (Ankle): Chark will be heading into this weekend with a “questionable” tag for his week 6 contest against the Detroit Lions. DJ hasn’t been able to practice all week and has been sidelined, so his chances of suiting up this week are slim. Keelan Cole and Laviska Shenault would see an uptick in targets if Chark isn’t able to play.
Baker Mayfield, QB | Cleveland Brown (Ribs): Baker was a limited participant at Browns practice both Wednesday and Thursday but practiced in full on Friday. The team has given him a “questionable” tag after Friday’s practice session, and he is expected to play Sunday against the Pittsburg Steelers. Case Keenum will serve as Baker’s backup if Baker isn’t able to play.
