In this column, we are going to review the basics of Jock MKT, including how it differs from making regular NFL DFS picks and how it aligns with the fantasy football games you already know. Below are three of the best Jock MKT NFL picks for the NFL Sunday Night Market slate, based on the expert NFL DFS projections from the No. 1 DFS player in the world, Alex Baker.
Jock MKT NFL Starter Kit | Week 8 Sunday Night Football
To begin, enter the NFL Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until kickoff on the slate’s first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular NFL DFS, where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final whistle.
Each player share is paid out at the end of the games based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.
Jock MKT NFL Picks for Sunday Night Football
Dalvin Cook — RB — Minnesota Vikings
This is a tough Sunday night slate to project since the top overall projected player, Dak Prescott, is not expected to play, but he will likely not be ruled out until close to game time. Obviously, he impacts everyone on the Dallas offense. While his injury tag could create a bit of value if he ends up playing, this column will avoid him. That makes Dalvin Cook the next man up.
Per usual, Cook has battled injuries all season long. However, a timely bye week should have him as healthy as he has been in weeks, making him a high-upside play tonight. When he has played at least 70% of the snaps this season, Cook has totaled at least 100 yards. He has also scored a touchdown in two of these three games. A true dual threat out of the backfield, look for him to be busy in this game. Jock MKT ranks Cook second behind Prescott, and Awesemo projects him exactly the same. If Prescott does not play and Cook finishes as the top overall scorer on the slate, he would pay out $25 per share.
Dalton Schultz — TE — Dallas Cowboys
Whether it is Prescott or Cooper Rush at quarterback tonight, the value of Dalton Schultz should remain relatively unchanged. He may see more targets with Rush at quarterback due to Schultz being a big target and operating underneath on easier throws. Schultz is also a quick outlet, which would be utilized when the talented Vikings pass rush applies pressure quickly. Jock MKT ranks Schultz ninth and Awesemo projects him the same, which would pay out $5 per share. However, if Prescott were to be ruled out, Schultz would have the eighth-highest projection on the slate, as Rush is not in the Jock MKT player pool to choose from.
Ezekiel Elliott — RB — Dallas Cowboys
Prescott is not expected to play, and Ezekiel Elliott has struggled in the past when he has been out. However, this is a narrative that everyone knows and will overreact to. Jock MKT ranks Elliott seventh, which means there are five players, excluding Prescott, ahead of him. On the other hand, Awesemo projects Elliott to finish sixth on the slate. While the Minnesota front has done well getting after passers, they have struggled in the running game. They have allowed 4.8 yards per carry, which is the third most in the NFL. It is easy to see a scenario where Elliott has success and is given the ball as many times as he can handle. Elliott should also see the ball in the red zone, especially if the inexperienced Rush is at quarterback. Elliott has high upside and is a bit undervalued on this slate.
