Jock MKT NFL Picks & IPO Projections for Thursday Night Football | Panthers vs. Texans

If looking for a different way to play NFL DFS tonight, it is tough to find anything more unique than Jock MKT. NFL DFS becomes a stock exchange on this platform, allowing users to buy and sell in real-time for real money. To play, download the app here and get to trading. In this column, we will review the basics of Jock MKT, including how it differs from making regular DFS picks and how it aligns with the fantasy football games you already know. Below are three of the best Jock MKT NFL picks for the Carolina Panthers vs. Houston Texans Thursday Night Football matchup, based on the expert NFL DFS projections from the No. 1 DFS player in the world, Alex Baker.

Jock MKT Starter Kit: NFL Picks | Panthers vs. Texans

To begin, enter the NFL Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until kickoff on the slate’s first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging up to $25. See potential injury news that could open an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.

The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular DFS, where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done up until the final whistle.

Each player share is paid out at the end of the games based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT NFL Picks for Thursday Night Football

Christian McCaffrey — RB — Carolina Panthers

The obvious top overall play for this Thursday Night Football slate is Christian McCaffrey, who will be the best player that takes the field. He is a do-it-all running back that has looked fantastic through two weeks. McCaffrey is coming off a game with 137 total yards and a touchdown against a strong New Orleans Saints defense. Facing a lesser team tonight, he should be a human highlight reel on prime-time football.

Awesemo predicts McCaffrey to be the top overall play on the slate, projecting 25.66 fantasy points. The top overall scorer on Jock MKT pays out $25 per share, and Awesemo is currently valuing him at $21.20, which may be the highest Jock MKT value we have seen so far this season.

David Johnson — RB — Houston Texans

While this Texans backfield appears to be crowded with mediocrity, there are pretty clear roles. Mark Ingram saw a massive workload in Week 1 since the Texans were leading. When Houston fell behind last week, David Johnson saw most of the snaps, and he finished the game with 42.6% of the snaps, with Ingram the next closest, at 31.2%. The Texans are expected to be trailing the entire game, which should mean a heavy workload for Johnson. Opportunity leads to productivity.

Awesemo currently projects Johnson to be No. 11 in scoring tonight, though that should be his floor, given the expected workload. Awesemo also values him at $4.12. If he can finish at least ninth, which he has a high chance to, the payout would be $5 per share.

Chris Conley — WR — Houston Texans

Possibly the best value on the slate is Chris Conley. With the switch to Davis Mills at quarterback, there are plenty of questions regarding the Houston passing offense. Nico Collins is also out hurt, which creates more opportunities for others. One thing there is no question about is Conley’s role on this team. After playing over 90% of the snaps last week, we should expect to see him on the field nearly all game, and it takes just one big catch for him to return a profit.

Jock MKT ranks Conley No. 13 overall, but Awesemo projects him as the ninth-highest scorer. As we said above, the payout for nine is $5, while 13 pays out only $2, creating an opportunity for profit here.
