Low-Priced Value Plays for DraftKings + FanDuel | Week 10 NFL DFS Picks

With nine daily fantasy football weeks in the books, both FanDuel and DraftKings released an array of exciting NFL DFS contests ahead of Week 10. While prices adjusted, a few low-priced value plays in the player pool stand out as optimal NFL DFS picks this week.

NFL DFS: Week 10 DraftKings + FanDuel Value Plays | Daily Fantasy Football

NFL DFS Picks: Quarterback

Josh Allen ($7,500 DraftKings / $8,700 FanDuel)

Perhaps not a value in the traditional sense, Allen still appears near the top of Awesemo’s DFS projections. Allen is a strong option despite a semi-expensive salary on DraftKings and FanDuel. The quarterback finds himself in the highest projected scoring game on the slate. Buffalo currently sits as a 2.5-point underdog with the game total hovering at 56.5-points. With the Cardinals allowing more than 30 points in back-to-back games, Allen looks like a solid value play in daily fantasy football.

Looking at Josh Allen’s metrics, he has completed 68.9% of his passes for 8.2 yards per pass attempt. Both marks rank inside the top six in the league this season. On top of his efficiency, the opposing Cardinals continue to struggle against signal-callers in recent weeks. Russell Wilson racked up 388 yards against this defense and rookie Tua Tagovailoa threw for 248 yards while completing 71% of his passes. As a result, both were strong NFL DFS options for those weeks. With Stefon Diggs and John Brown providing solid stacking options, Allen remains a strong value play on the Week 10 DFS slate.

NFL DFS Picks: Running Back

Mike Davis ($4,000 DraftKings / $5,400 FanDuel)

With Christian McCaffrey ruled out for Week 10, Davis sets up as the ultimate NFL DFS chalk play. Carolina does draw a matchup against a league-best Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense. However, this game sits with a 50.5 game total, creating a positive scoring environment. Game script independent, Davis still emerges as the top value play of the week across DFS platforms.

Without McCaffrey in the lineup earlier this season, Davis averaged 19.2 opportunities (carries + targets) in his starts. Davis also played a McCaffrey-esque role in Carolina’s passing attack. Ignoring his irrelevant Week One, Davis has at least five targets in all but two games in which he was the featured running back this season. Carolina enters this spot as a 5.5-point underdog, potentially pointing to increased involvement from Davis as a pass-catcher. Matchup aside, Davis’ egregiously low price makes him the top value play on DraftKings and FanDuel in Week 10.

Duke Johnson ($5,000 DraftKings / $5,800 FanDuel)

Playing in a similar situation to Mike Davis, Duke Johnson finds himself in a potential feature-back role after David Johnson suffered a concussion last week. Johnson doesn’t quite find himself in the same fantasy-friendly environment with the Houston Texans coming in as 3.5-point underdogs to the Cleveland Browns. Likewise, the total sits at a modest 45.5 points, making Johnson slightly less valuable than Davis.

Still, Johnson projects to play a major role within Houston’s explosive offense. Duke handled 20 touches after David left last week’s game. Four of those touches came in the form of targets, setting up Johnson for an every-down role. Similar to Tampa Bay, Cleveland possesses one of the top run defenses in the NFL. However, they allowed more than 100 yards rushing to James Conner and Josh Jacobs in two of their three most recent games. Even in a lower-totaled game, Duke Johnson still appears as a top NFL DFS value on DraftKings and FanDuel this weekend.

NFL DFS Picks: Wide Receiver

Jakeem Grant ($3,000 DraftKings / $4,600 Fanduel)

In yet another injury situation opening up value, Preston Williams landed on injured reserve earlier this week. In his place, Jakeem Grant looks likely to handle a larger role within the Miami offense. The Dolphins are currently 1.5-point favorites in a matchup against the Chargers. The total sits at 48.5-points, giving the matchup enough shootout potential to look for Grant on DraftKings and FanDuel.

With Williams going down in the middle of last week’s game, Grant stepped up to handle five targets while running the second-most routes among Miami’s wide receivers. Grant has played sparingly to this point in the season, but the Dolphins lack pass-catchers behind DeVante Parker. Mike Gesicki has only eclipsed four targets once in his last six games, Malcolm Perry, who was a day-three pick in the draft, to provide Grant’s main source of competition. While Mike Davis and Duke Johnson open plenty of salaries, Grant also provides strong value and a potential contrarian approach to the Week 10 DFS slate.

Daily Fantasy Football Picks: Tight End

Hunter Henry ($4,100 DraftKings / $5,500 FanDuel)

Hunter Henry appears on the low-priced value list almost every week at this point. However, he appears for good reason. Henry plays a sizeable role in an explosive offense for the Los Angeles Chargers. This week, the Chargers find themselves on the other side of that Miami Dolphins matchup with the betting line steadily moving in their favor.

As for Henry’s volume, the stud tight end has at least seven targets in six of eight total games this year. While the target volume remains constant, the touchdown production continues to evade Henry. He has scored just one of four touchdowns thrown to Chargers tight ends this season. With Los Angeles still ranking top five in plays per game, Henry should continue to see his steady volume moving forward. With Henry playing as a positive touchdown regression candidate, going back to him as a value play makes sense on the Week 10 NFL DFS slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.
