Awesemo’s Week 12 DFS Picks
Now, Awesemo sets his sights on Week 9 of the NFL season and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks over at Awesemo.com.
NFL DFS Pick #1 Julio Jones: Grades: A, Values: B
This is the Julio Jones eruption spot. Despite not finding the end zone since Week 3, you have to love Jones’ potential this weekend. The Buccaneers cannot defend receivers, allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position. And just look at what opposing number-one receivers have done against this defense as of late:
- Michael Thomas:Â 8-114-1
- Christian Kirk:Â 6-138-3
- Tyler Lockett:Â 13-152-2
- A.J. Brown:Â 2-11-1
- D.J. Moore:Â 7-73-0
Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley both had an 85% snap share last week and are top-25 in routes run this season. With Austin Hooper out and Mohamed Sanu traded, this is suddenly a very concentrated offence.
NFL DFS Pick #2: Alvin Kamara: Grades: A, Values: B
Alvin Kamara looked really, really good last week against a top-ranked Bucs run defense, carrying the ball 13 times for 75 yards, while adding 10 catches for an additional 47 yards. He averaged 3.46 yards after contact per attempt and out-touched Latavius Murray 23-12. Kamara hasn’t found the end zone since returning from injury but this has to be the week. The Panthers are allowing a league-worst 1.8 rushing touchdowns per game on the year, while 60 percent of the touchdowns surrendered by this defense have come via the run, easily the highest rate in football.
Carolina has also been a very bad red zone defense, allowing opponents to score touchdowns on 65.7 percent of their trips, the highest mark in football. They are also allowing 5.29 points per red zone trip, the third-highest clip, as well as a league-worst .657 touchdowns per red zone trip. This offense is at its peak when Kamara is getting 18-22 touches and I think we see a massive NFL DFS total from him this week.
