Top Stacks: FREE Week 5 NFL DFS Picks for DraftKings + FanDuel Based on Awesemo’s Premium Tool

NFL Week 5 has finally arrived and it’s time to talk strategy. Stacking a quarterback with one of more of his pass catchers provides a solid way to add upside to a DFS lineup. With Week 5 offering a full slate of games, here are a few stacks worth considering on the DFS main slate. Let’s take a look at some top stacks from Week 5 for NFL DFS lineups on DraftKings + FanDuel.

NFL DFS Top Stacks for Week 5 on DraftKings + FanDuel

Top Stack: Dallas Cowboys

Rinse. Repeat. The Dallas Cowboys enter Week 5 as the top projected stack in Awesemo’s Top Stacks Tool for the fourth consecutive week. With Leighton Vander Esch, Anthony Brown, Chidobe Awuzie, among others missing from this defense, the last three Cowboy’s games have reached or eclipsed 69 total points. This week, the Cowboys enter another potential shootout against the New York Giants as 8.5-point favorites. With this game totaled at 54-points, targeting Dallas in stacks provides immense value.

Passing a historic pace, the DFS platforms cannot price Prescott quickly enough. This passing boom has led to blow-up games foe all of the Dallas pass catchers as well. Prescott currently averages 8.4 yards per attempt, while completing 68.2% of his passes. More importantly, the Cowboys rank first in plays per game and second per play, keeping his volume at elite levels.

As for stacking options, Prescott’s pass catchers come with a variety of prices. Looking at CeeDee Lamb, his 14.7% target share leaves much to be desired. However, this target share actually equates to more raw targets than Marquise Brown (26.5% target share). With such a cheap price tag across platforms, Lamb makes a lot of sense as a cheaper, lower-owned access point to this stack.

Top Stack: Kansas City Chiefs

Finally appearing on a main slate after a number of island games, the Kansas City Chiefs look like another top stack to target in Week 5. Similar to the Cowboys, the Chiefs enter Week 5 favored by 11.5-points over the Las Vegas Raiders. With the over/under sitting at 55.5, the Chiefs possess an immense 33.5 team total this week.

The premier talent at the quarterback position, Patrick Mahomes warrants stacking consideration every week. In this spot, he draws a Las Vegas defense allowing 7.5 yards per pass attempt (eighth). Mahomes has already bested 300-passing yards in two performances this year, while throwing multiple touchdowns every week.

As far as stacking options, Mahomes also possesses an array of weapons at various price points. Between Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, the elite pass catchers remain semi-cost prohibitive. However, those targeting value can also take a look at Sammy Watkins. Watkins holds a 19% target share, with at least seven targets in each of his healthy games. While Kelce and Hill remain the superior options, Watkins looks intriguing as a highly involved, cheaper play within this offense.

Value Stack: Atlanta Falcons

For those looking for cheaper stacking options, the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons game looks like a potential target. This game currently sits with a 53.5 total and the Falcons favored by 1.5-points. With both defenses struggling targeting either side of this game makes sense.

Projected for the lower ownership between the two sides, Matt Ryan and the Falcons still provide the requisite upside for top stack contention in Week 5. Ryan currently averages 7.5 yards per attempt, with a 64.7% completion percentage. More importantly, the Falcons rank second in seconds per play and plays per game. With volume on his side, Ryan remains a weekly consideration in game stacks.

As for pass catchers, Julio Jones‘ potential absence opens immense value on this slate. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage remain the top two options here, but Olamide Zaccheaus quietly slid in directly for Jones last week. Priced at the minimum on DraftKings, Zaccheaus ran a route on 73% of Ryan drop backs and received nine targets in the process. Another team with stacking options at all price points, Atlanta makes sense as a value stack in Week 5.
