NFL DFS Top Stacks for Week 9 on DraftKings + FanDuel

Top Stack: Buffalo Bills

Coming in as the top stack of Week 9 on DraftKings and FanDuel, the Buffalo Bills face the Seattle Seahawks in a potential shootout. The Bills enter this spot as three-point underdogs in a game totaled at 54.5 points. The Seahawks have allowed at least 23 points in every game this year, including more than 30 in four contests. Coming in with reasonable ownership, this matchup looks exploitable.

Starting with the signal caller, Josh Allen has taken a step forward with Stefon Diggs‘ insertion into the offense. Allen is completing 67.1% of his passes for 7.8 yards per attempt this season. Both marks rank 13th-best in the NFL. More importantly, Seattle’s defense allows 7.7 yards per pass attempt, which ranks sixth-worst in the NFL. Allen also possesses rushing upside. He already has 227 rushing yards this season after posting at least 510 in each of his first two NFL seasons.

As for skill players for this stack, Diggs stands out with his 29% target share. The former Minnesota Viking has at least eight targets in each of his last four games. Aside from Diggs, John Brown has returned to full health and provides a cheaper pairing with Allen.

With the matchup and game environment setting up well for Allen and this offense, the Bills remain one of the top stacks on DraftKings and FanDuel ahead of Week 9.

Top Stack: Kansas City Chiefs

For the second consecutive week, the Kansas City Chiefs find their way to the top of the Awesemo top stacks tool. This week, the Chiefs enter a tilt against the Carolina Panthers as 10.5-point favorites in a game totaled at 52.

While expensive, Patrick Mahomes remains in the discussion for top value quarterback on the Week 9 slate. Mahomes currently completes 66.9% of his passes for 8.2 yards per attempt. Kansas City remains middle-of-the-pack in pass rate and plays per game. However, Mahomes’ overall efficiency continues to propel this stack to the top of leaderboards on a weekly basis.

Looking at potential pairings, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce function as the premier pass catching options within the offense. Kelce paces the team with a 24.2% target share. Hill’s target share comes in at 19.2%, but the dynamic receiver enters this week fresh off a 98-yard game with a pair of scores. For those looking at discount stacks, Mecole Hardman finally worked his way ahead of Demarcus Robinson, running a route on 66% of Chiefs dropbacks.

With multiple stacking options, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs present one of the top options on DraftKings and FanDuel in Week 9.

Value Stack: Carolina Panthers

For those looking at discounted stacking options, the Carolina Panthers seem like a potential value on the other side of the Kansas City Chiefs game. Carolina also provides the benefit of carrying a fraction of the projected ownership of the previously mentioned stacks. With added leverage, a Carolina stack remains in play for top stack in Week 9 NFL DFS.

Looking at Teddy Bridgewater, the Carolina newcomer is completing 71.6% of his passes for 8.2 yards per attempt. Both of these marks rank top-six in the NFL. Kansas City remains a tough matchup, but Bridgewater possesses a variety of elite weapons. This includes all-pro running back Christian McCaffrey who expects to make his return to the gridiron in Week 9.

As for true pass catchers, D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson lock down a majority of Carolina’s target share. Anderson currently paces the team with a 26.8% share, while Moore’s 23.6% remains suitable at his price. These two also combine for a mind-blowing 78% of Carolina’s total air yards.

While slightly less likely to finish as the top overall stacking option, the Panthers stack projects to provide solid leverage on the Week 9 DFS slate.
