Week 17 Monday Night Football NFL PrizePicks

Ben Roethlisberger Over 13 Fantasy Points

Ben Roethlisberger has a very low fantasy total this week and have a great narrative to ride too, as he may be playing in his last home game at Heinz Field. The Steelers throw an average of 38.3 times per game and face a Cleveland run defense that only allows 4.1 yards rushing per game. Roethlisberger has dominated Cleveland throughout his career and comes in with a projected fantasy total of well over 14 points for the week. Considering how efficient Aaron Rodgers was against this team last week (three touchdowns on 34 pass attempts), Roethlisberger has a good chance of finding enough points to get over this mark.

Donavan Peoples-Jones Over 29.5 Yards Receiving

The Browns do not pass the ball that much (just 30.5 times per game), but Donavan Peoples-Jones has developed a consistent target share since the departure of Odell Beckham Jr. Over his last three games Peoples-Jones has averaged six targets a game and has gone for over 45 yards in two of his last three games. He had just one catch last week, but that was against Green Bay’s elite pass defense, and he still garnered multiple downfield targets in that game. Peoples-Jones is up against a much thinner secondary and realistically can hit this low a total on just one catch. He is projected for well over 40 yards in this game and is a great over play just based off his recent volume alone.

Najee Harris Under 67.5 Yards Rushing

The Browns enter this game having allowed just 4.1 yards per carry on the season, the eighth-best mark in the league. It is not a great matchup for any team’s lead back, let alone Najee Harris, who has produced just 3.7 yards per carry on the year. The low efficiency is not all Harris’ fault, as he runs behind a weaker offensive line, but from a betting perspective it is hard to see him winning out in this one. Cleveland has not allowed a rusher to go for more than 66 yards against them in four games and will be healthier on defense than they were last week when they still held Green Bay backs to 66 yards or less. Harris is a solid under on a night where Roethlisberger should be front and center from a play-calling perspective.
