Week 15 First Look: DraftKings & FanDuel NFL DFS Picks
NFL DFS Picks: Quarterback
Mitchell Trubisky — Another cheap quarterback, Trubisky might lack real-life talent, but he continues to produce in DFS. Passing for 267 yards in back-to-back weeks, Trubisky draws another winnable matchup against the Vikings. The Bears are 3.5-point underdogs in a game totaled at 46.5 points. They pass at the second-highest rate in football (65.6%), and the Vikings allow the sixth-most yards per pass attempt (7.2). Together, these factors set up Trubisky for another solid DFS performance in Week 15.
NFL DFS Picks: Wide Receiver
Sammy Watkins — For those looking at cheap attachments to Patrick Mahomes, look no further than Watkins. Watkins plays behind Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, leading to more volatility in the Chiefs’ offense. However, Watkins played on 90% of the Chiefs’ offensive snaps last week, creating a direct path to fantasy production in the right game environment. This week the Chiefs draw one of their toughest tests against the Saints. Favored by 3.5 points, this game has a 51.5-point total.
Chris Godwin — Playing from ahead throughout Week 14, Tom Brady only attempted 23 passes against the Vikings. This caused Godwin to receive just three targets. This week bookmakers project the Falcons and Buccaneers to score 50.5 combined points, adding more intrigue to Godwin as a GPP play. Godwin’s 19.5% target share leads the team. With Atlanta allowing a bottom-five mark in yards per pass attempt (7.4), Godwin looks like a value at $6,200 and $7,200 on DraftKings and FanDuel.
NFL DFS Picks: Running Back
Dalvin Cook — Coming down in price, Cook remains a strong target in DFS on a weekly basis. This week DraftKings and FanDuel priced Cook at $9,000 and $9,400, respectively. Cook averages 26.4 opportunities per game and has at least 22 in eight straight games. In fact, Cook has eclipsed 30 opportunities in four of his last six games. This week the Vikings are 3.5-point favorites over the Bears, setting up Cook for another sizeable workload.
Ronald Jones — With Leonard Fournette late scratched last week, Jones went on to play a feature back role in Tampa Bay. Jones played on 34 of 51 snaps, out-touching LeSean McCoy 20-5. Jones managed 80 rushing yards and a score on his opportunities and should continue to see a majority of the work moving forward. This week, Jones faces a Falcons’ defense as a 6.5-point favorite in a game with a 50.5-point total. Priced affordably across platforms, Jones deserves a long look in Week 15.

NFL DFS Picks: Tight End
Jordan Akins — While Brandin Cooks expects to make his return this week, the Texans will still play without Will Fuller, Randall Cobb and Kenny Stills. Playing an elevated role, Akins ran a route on 60% of dropbacks last week while receiving six targets. Akins even had a surefire touchdown, but he lost the ball in the sun and dropped it. Priced in punt range, Akins continues to provide the salary to jam multiple studs into DFS lineups in Week 15.
Jonnu Smith — Since returning from injury, Smith has quietly returned to a full-time role in the Titans’ offense. Last week Smith only received two targets, but he ran a route on 80% of Ryan Tannehill drop backs. This week the Titans face the Lions as 10.5-point favorites. While this still points to a Derrick Henry game, Smith’s price keeps him in play as a punt tight end.
