Week 7 Yahoo Daily Fantasy Football Picks Based on Awesemo’s Top Grades & Values

Week 7 of the NFL is here, and Awesemo has a ton of great tools and NFL DFS rankings to tackle all the largest contests in DFS. This article will go through and highlight some of the week’s highest projected Yahoo NFL picks at each position on the Week 7 main slate, all based on Awesemo’s projections and models. It will also provide insight into rostership projections and provide some other matchup information for optimal Yahoo NFL picks for daily fantasy lineups each week.

Week 7 Yahoo NFL Picks, Grades & Values

Top Graded QB: Matthew Stafford | Grades: A, Values: A

There are multiple quarterbacks with A grades this week in the Awesemo rankings, but one certainly stands out. The Rams and Matthew Stafford enter this game with the largest implied team total on the slate (33.25 points), and Stafford also clocks in at an affordable $31 on Yahoo this week, which puts him $9 off the top-priced play, Patrick Mahomes. Stafford is the only quarterback this week above $30 to receive an A value grade on Awesemo. He leads the league in yards per pass attempt and faces the worst passing defense in the league. Even if he breeches 15% rostered, Stafford is a great way to begin in GPPs.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 16.8%

Top Value QB: Tua Tagovailoa | Grades: C, Values: B

There were a lot of cheaper quarterbacks who all graded quite similar in value ratings this week on Awesemo. Awesemo’s Rostership Projections have Tua Tagovailoa coming in at a paltry 2.3% rostered. The inability of Miami to run the ball should continue to give Tagovailoa heightened fantasy potential. The Dolphins take on another struggling defense in Atlanta that averages fewer than two sacks per game. Tagovailoa has solid value ratings, still offers good savings off the top names and will come with almost no rostership in large fields.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 2.3%

Top Graded RB: Derrick Henry | Grades: A, Values: D

Derrick Henry is the only running back on Awesemo with an A grade for points this week. He deserves it too, as he enters this game averaging over 27 carries on the season and has doubled his usage in the passing game this year. The matchup could not be better, as the Chiefs are second-to-last in yards per run allowed, but Henry is also essentially matchup-proof already. One could save money by paying down for solid mid-tier plays like Leonard Fournette, but that is giving up a lot of upside and is likely to get lapped if Henry goes off again. Henry has the best points projection on this main slate by over 2 points, and with a lack of other elite options at his position, he makes for a tough fade this week.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 22.2%

Top Value RB: Chase Edmonds | Grades: B, Values: A

Chase Edmonds comes in with the sixth-best points projection on the main slate and the best value rating of any running back in the player pool for Sunday. Edmonds’ attraction this week is that he is facing the Texans and that the Cardinals have a 32.75 implied team total. James Conner still exists, so Edmonds is no slam dunk for a touchdown, but Edmonds is still 4.7 yards per carry and could be used more after getting fewer snaps last week due to being on the injury report. At just $16 he is worth chasing, even if his rostership is likely to be higher than most, as the spot against Houston is too good to pass on.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 18.6%

Top Graded WR: Cooper Kupp | Grades: A, Values: C

Cooper Kupp is setting up as the wide receiver to roster this week. Both he and Davante Adams have A grades for their great point projections this week, but Kupp is sitting a full point higher than Adams and leads all players at his position in that regard. The Rams are all going to be popular, but they are also going to score a ton of points in this spot. When looking at who to pay up for, it is important to note that both Adams and Kupp (more so Kupp) have point projections as high or better than the big names at other positions, but they also cost less. Look to build around one of the elite wide receivers this week, and look for pivots and value elsewhere. Kupp is the best choice if employing that strategy.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 22.3%

Top Value WR: Calvin Ridley | Grades: A, Values: B

Calvin Ridley missed the Falcons’ last game in London for personal matters but returned to the fold this week. He has had a poor season, but he enters this game averaging over 11 targets in his last three starts. The Dolphins enter this week with both of their starting cornerbacks questionable and may choose to sit one or both for an extra week to ensure a return to full health. Either way, Ridley will get to attack a secondary that has allowed 7.6 yards per pass attempt and is under $25. He has the sixth-best point projection at his position but also the second-best value rating of any receiver priced $20 or more on Yahoo. This is likely a good spot to give him one more shot at getting back on track.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 14.9%

Top Graded TE: Darren Waller | Grades: A, Values: B

Tight end is devoid of plays, so rostering Darren Waller means eating 30% rostership in large fields. However, it may be necessary. Waller has not eclipsed 65 yards receiving since Week 1, but he is facing off against an Eagles team that has allowed the third-most receptions to tight ends this year and ceded five touchdowns to the position. The Raiders have a strong 26-point implied team total this week, so both Waller and Josh Jacobs (whose carries have risen the last three weeks) are in good spots. Waller is just a smidgen under Travis Kelce in point projections but has a far better value rating, as he is $7 cheaper. The projections say take the savings and go with Waller.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 30%

Top Value TE: O.J. Howard | Grades: D, Values: B

O.J. Howard’s Awesemo grade is low, but it is mainly due to his long-term form. However, with him taking more of a role in the last two games, and Rob Gronkowski having been ruled out this week, Howard is starting to look more attractive based on his increased usage — and his value score on Awesemo is reflecting that with a solid B grade. Howard broke through last week for six catches (on seven targets) and played more snaps than Cameron Brate, which is reason enough to trust this blip production. Howard makes for a nice punt play, especially with both Gronkowski and Antonio Brown having been ruled out for Week 7.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 2.6%
