Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 13 Monday Night Football | Bills vs. Patriots Tonight

Tonight the Buffalo Bills are hosting the New England Patriots in the featured Monday Night Football matchup, and Yahoo is offering NFL DFS single-game contests. The general concept of creating a team remains the same, but this is a one-game player pool. The twist is that any position player can be rostered, and one is designated to receive a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points. Using Awesemo’s expert NFL projections and rankings, these are the top Yahoo NFL picks for the Week 13 Monday Night Football game tonight.

Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 13 Monday Night Football

Top SUPERSTAR Options

The SUPERSTAR position will get a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points in the single-game format. Awesemo’s NFL DFS optimizer creates daily fantasy football cheat sheets. Check out who is popping in the Yahoo NFL DFS cheat sheet for the Week 13 Monday Night Football game.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills – $33

Tonight Josh Allen is $2 dollars less than Patrick Mahomes ($35) was for the Yahoo Sunday Night Football single-game contests. This season Allen is putting up nearly identical production to his breakout last year. While his yards rushing are up, his touchdowns are down. However, he is throwing more in the red zone than in prior seasons, which is a bonus for his health. Even with the inclement weather looming, Allen is easily the top play on Yahoo in all formats tonight.

Allen is one of the best options for SUPERSTAR on Yahoo, but Matt Savoca has an even more in-depth look at his outlook tonight from a DraftKings and FanDuel standpoint in his Week 13 Monday Night Football NFL DFS Showdown Game Breakdown.

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills – $27

This is a lofty salary for Stefon Diggs, and while he has not come close to his career year in 2020 when he led the league in targets, receptions and yardage, he is still in the top 10 for those categories. The weather may not be in his favor, but all it takes is one missed tackle or blown coverage and he will be off to the races. He has really come on strong in his last half dozen outings,  averaging nine targets for 6.5 receptions, 78.8 yards and six touchdowns. New England has an excellent pass defense, but Buffalo has enough top-shelf personnel that not everyone can be locked down on every play.

Yahoo NFL Core Picks

Mac Jones, New England Patriots – $22

With the SUPERSTAR multiplier tonight, Mac Jones is one of only three players who project for more than 20 Yahoo points. Coach Bill Belichick has put Jones in solid situations this season, not giving him anything more than he can handle. Already he has been a solid performer in prime-time matchups, though the Buffalo defense is a force to be reckoned with, and there is a chance that weather will be more than a minor factor depending on the extent of the wind and timing of any precipitation. Though he does not run much, he is mobile enough to move around the pocket and buy time — this will help him even in the short and intermediate passing plays.

Damien Harris, New England Patriots – $19

The downside with Damien Harris is that he is averaging just over one target per game. The upside is that he has scored in seven of his last eight outings, and he has the edge over rookie Rhamondre Stevenson ($18) with the first crack at the rushing attempts. While Patriot running back committees have been around for two decades, either or both of this duo is in play — although there is the possibility that one will see more opportunities than the other and thus tip the balance in either direction. Playing both in the same lineup is not forbidden, though it is not a priority either.

Yahoo NFL Value Picks

Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills – $13

Zack Moss ($13) was inactive last week, and if he is out again, Devin Singletary and Matt Breida ($16) will be options. There are not enough opportunities to support all three of them, though if only two are active, at their salaries there should be enough available production for both to be just fine. Breida has the higher salary since he has three touchdowns in the last three games, though Singletary has been the starter and was on the field for nearly 70% of the snaps last week. If this pair had salaries similar to their New England counterparts, it would be risky to play both in the same lineup. Their $9 discount helps mitigate the risk

Discount Dandies – The Pass Catchers

For the Bills, Cole Beasley ($13) and Emmanuel Sanders ($13) are both bargain options, though with the half-PPR scoring on Yahoo they have been assigned an appropriate salary. New England has Jakobi Meyers ($12) and Nelson Agholor ($13) in the same range as well, though they have less touchdown equity with their rookie field general.
