NFL Week 11 Yahoo! Million Dollar Baller Picks Using Awesemo’s Premium Rankings (FREE)

Yahoo fantasy football is running a $1,000,000 contest with a $20 entry fee and 40,000 entries for Week 11 of the NFL season, which means they are adding $200,000 to the prize pool. Let’s get into some Yahoo Daily Fantasy Picks for NFL lineups, including Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes and more.

Week 11 NFL Yahoo Daily Fantasy Strategy & Picks

The critical thing to remember is that Yahoo is a half-PPR site, and the minimum salary is $10, with an average salary per player of $22. This week, Josh Allen is at the top of the salary list at $41. The complete scoring parameters can be found here.

One of the most valuable features of the Awesemo.com premium content is the personal player rankings from Alex Baker, for all of the main sports. The players grade out separately for each DFS site with ratings for both “projected points” and “value,” receiving an A through E report card-style grade. This week, as a special treat, Awesemo is also adding in the “Roster%,” which is the projected percentage a player will be used in the large-field tournaments.

Quarterback

If you have played daily fantasy football on Yahoo or Yahoo fantasy baseball, you know that the strategy is to look for the cheapest quarterback or pitcher that is tolerable so you can look for more secure points and upside elsewhere. In the recommendations below, I will be highlighting several discount options at the other positions so you can build a framework that will allow lineup construction for a top-shelf quarterback, along with his favorite target and still have enough salary cap to run it back with the top option on the opposing team.

Dak Prescott: Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs – $37 | Awesemo Grade: Points A, Value B, Roster% 12.7%

Despite what may be a better offensive environment, Dak Prescott received a 10% decrease in his salary from last weeks when he rolled up 296 passing yards and two touchdowns along with another on the ground against Atlanta. Of course this game will be in Arrowhead Stadium which boasts one of the best homefield advantages in the league. Kansas City has had a bottom-five passing DVOA all season and even with Amari Cooper out in the health and safety protocol, Dallas has plenty of capable pass catchers for Prescott. Seven different quarterbacks have had multi-touchdown games against Kansas City which bodes well for Dak and the air attack.

Patrick Mahomes: Kanas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys – $36 | Awesemo Grade: Points A, Value B, Roster% 22.0%

Dallas has the third best passing DVOA on the season and over the last five weeks they have allowed only rookie Mac Jones (229) and journeyman Teddy Bridgewater (249) to top 200 passing yards. This is a dramatic turnaround from the first month when they allowed four straight 300+ yard performances with multiple touchdowns. Patrick Mahomes has had an uneven season, but it was good to see everyone in Andy Reid’s offense on the same page in primetime with 406 passing yards and five aerial scores. Kansas City is projected to score four touchdowns and we know that Mahomes should have a hand in most of them. It sound like second year running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) will be returning from the injured reserve which provides another above average option.

Running Back

We want to keep in mind that while running backs are very important, Yahoo fantasy uses half-PPR, which will not penalize running backs that are not as active in the passing game.

A.J. Dillon: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings – $20 | Awesemo Grade: Points B, Value A, Roster% 32.0%

This week the we have been dealt a player pool where we will be able to find plenty of excellent point per dollar options at the running back position. This will enable us to go for the luxury passing game options in a fun twist from recent weeks. A.J. Dillon will be carrying the load for the Packers with Aaron Jones is out with a sprained knee and Kylin Hill was lost for the season after suffering a knee injury the week before Halloween. Hill had 10 carries this season and last week Patrick Taylor became just the fourth running back to tote the rock with two carries for seven yards. Dillon is also capable in the passing game when he gets opportunities and he brought in all of his targets over the last two games for half a dozen receptions and 106 receiving yards to go along with 29 carries for 112 yards and a pair of scores.

James Conner: Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks – $31 | Awesemo Grade: Points B, Value D, Roster% 10.5%

Chase Edmonds is on the injured reserve with an ankle injury and Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are both game time decisions having missed the last two games. While the volume was not there last week in a loss to Carolina, the majority of the backfield touches did go to James Conner who salvaged his afternoon with a touchdown. The going should be a little easier this weekend against a Seattle team with the 25th rushing DVOA. The return of Murray and/or Hopkins will help Conner as the defense will have other skill position players to account for.

Jeff Wilson: San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars – $14| Awesemo Grade: Points C, Value A, Roster% 39.6%

All signs point to rookie Elijah Mitchell being out on Sunday with a sprained finger. That would move veteran Jeff Wilson into the primary ball carrier role on a run first offense. Even if Mitchell does play, Wilson should see plenty of action to justify his discounted salary. Last year in seven games with double digit carries, Wilson had four 20+ Yahoo Fantasy point performances. When given the opportunity he has been successful on the ground and through the air, however, like most of the ‘Niners running backs over the last few seasons, he just cannot stay healthy.

Wide Receiver

The top-shelf Yahoo fantasy options are typically priced in the low-to-mid-$30 range. Often, they are best paired with their quarterbacks for tournament upside rather than risking downside as solo plays.

Davante Adams: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings – $35 | Awesemo Grade: Points A, Value D, Roster% 19.3%

This week Devante Adams will be playing indoors and while it is on the road, he and quarterback Aaron Rodgers are well versed with playing in Minnesota. The former Fresno State Bulldog is third in the league with 96.0 receiving yards per game. Although he has a mere three touchdowns, that seems to be payback in a return to the mean after last year’s career high 18 trips to the end zone. Adams is also third in first downs as well as catches for 20+ yards. This price is appropriate for the long track record of success.

Tyreek Hill: Kanas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys – $34 | Awesemo Grade: Points A, Value D, Roster% 20.4%

This season Tyreek Hill is actually second in the league with 10.1 targets per game which is barely behind Cooper Kupp. While Hill has “just” eight plays of 20+ yards, he also has eight touchdowns which is matching last year’s pace to reach 15 receiving scores. Though his 11.4 yards per catch is his “worst” since his rookie season, he is just 13 receptions away from a career high. The big play upside is still there, though now we are getting more volume and while the aDOT is lower, we know he can work his magic anytime the ball is in his hands.

CeeDee Lamb: Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs – $28 | Awesemo Grade: Points A, Value D, Roster% 20.5%

Amari Cooper is out for the next two games after logging a positive COVID-19 test. That means second-year man CeeDee Lamb will be the clear top option in the Dallas passing offense. Sunday afternoon he has a phenomenal matchup against a bottom-five passing DVOA and Michael Gallup ($15) returned last week seeing his first action since the season opener. This duo is absolutely in play with either quarterback in this game or as one-offs for exposure to what is shaping up to be a track meet.

Tyler Boyd: Cincinnati Bengals at Las Vegas Raiders – $10 | Awesemo Grade: Points C, Value A, Roster% 7.5%

While he has fallen behind Tee Higgins ($15) and budding rookie superstar JaMarr Chase ($29), the Bengals at Raiders game has the second highest total compared to Dallas and Kansas City. We are getting a proven commodity in Tyler Boyd who has averaged just over 1,000 yards in his last three season at the minimum salary on Yahoo. Last week he had a season low two targets, however, he had 15 combined in the prior two weeks. This is one of the best minimum salary receivers we will see all year.

Tight Ends

Dalton Schultz: Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs – $18 | Awesemo Grade: Points B, Value C, Roster% 9.8%

If the funds are available, Travis Kelce ($30) is absolutely in consideration playing in this same game. However, in “tournament” lineups taking the discount to Darren Waller ($25) or George Kittle ($25) is a little easier outside of KC vs. DAL game stacks. In our “main” lineups, the savings with Dalton Schultz is important and even with a dud performance last week when his team scored 43 points, he averaged nearly seven targets in the preceding half dozen games. Prescott makes good use of the tight end position and the absence of Cooper gives Schultz a boost towards his touchdown equity.

Dan Arnold: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Francisco Giants – $13 | Awesemo Grade: Points C, Value C, Roster% 9.8%

There are too many good tight end options this week to go with an outright punt. The cheapest option who can at least approximate the median projections of the top options if he has an above average game himself is Dan Arnold. In his last three games he has averaged eight targets for 5.6 receptions and 65 yards. Though he has yet to score a touchdown, he did notch a two-point conversion last week which shows his red zone upside… if Jacksonville gets to the red zone against the ‘Niners.

Defense/Special Teams

This week, there is one top-tier unit and a familiar bargain option.

San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars – $13 | Awesemo Grade: Points B, Value C, Roster% 22.8%

Speaking of the 49ers, they are one of the better value defenses on Yahoo this week. While they are on the road, they are going against a rookie quarterback who is trying to execute the plays for a first year NFL coach. San Francisco has multiple sacks in seven of nine games while Trevor Lawrence has been taken down at least twice in five of his last seven appearances.

Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears – $12 | Awesemo Grade: Points D, Value D, Roster% 5.3%

Another veteran defense on the road facing a rookie quarterback. In his last four games, Justin Fields has been sacked 15 times with half a dozen interceptions. The Bears are missing a couple of offensive linemen and are likely to be without wide receiver Allen Robinson who despite being in the midst of a lost season at least poses a threat that defenses need to account for on every play.
