The 2021 NHL season is officially underway. Like many sports, the easiest way to maximize your ceiling is through stacking, and that couldn’t be any truer in hockey. For reference, each goal averages 1.7 assists. In this article I’ll help you find the best stacks and NHL DFS picks to make for DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy hockey lineups using Awesemo’s Top Stack Tool.

Top Stacks: DraftKings + FanDuel NHL DFS Picks | Feb. 1
Top Stack: BOS1
By an overwhelming margin on both sites, tonight’s stack du jour is in Boston. Now at full strength after some early-season injuries and in a matchup with a battered Washington roster, it’s hard to argue.
After missing the first 7 games of the year the electric David Pastrnak is back in our NHL DFS lives. Pastrnak came back gangbusters, leading the top line in minutes on the ice and tallying an assist. Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand were having little trouble without Pastrnak back, but now with him, we can expect even more from this line.
There is arguably not a stronger top line in hockey nor a line with more correlation. This equals to all good things, especially with leverage more than double of its next competitor.

Over-Owned Stack: NYR1
Coming in as the highest owned on line on both sites, watching your exposures to this line should be priority No. 1 for this NHL DFS slate. With the highest game total on the slate, it makes sense for many to get here, but I would do so with theory in mind.
The biggest concern with this line is their inconsistency and uncertainty of sticking together. Right now this projected line with Mika Zibanejad, Pavel Buchnevich and Alexis Lafreniere only skated together for approximately 7 minutes and got absolutely throttled, giving up 11 scoring chances to their 1.
With all of the uncertainty and lack of correlation, I would lean to the Rangers power-play stack with Artemi Panarin if you are wanting to go here with frequency.
