The 2021 NHL season is officially underway. Like many sports, the easiest way to maximize your ceiling is through stacking, and that couldn’t be any truer in hockey. For reference, each goal averages 1.7 assists. In this article I’ll help you find the best stacks and NHL DFS picks to make for DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy hockey lineups using Awesemo’s Top Stack Tool.

Top Stacks: DraftKings + FanDuel NHL DFS Picks | Jan. 22
Top Stack: COL1
Every NHL DFS slate we could put this line as the top stack but today might be as good as it gets. With a bevy of big-name lineups on the slate, we get a phenomenal ownership spot for Colorado’s top line.
There’s little question about where to start with this line, but if you haven’t heard, Nathan MacKinnon is good. The MVP contender comes in with seven points in his last three and doesn’t show any signs of stopping, especially in this matchup. On his wing are Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen. These three have been nearly unstoppable when paired together generating tons of chances and converting.
With the best leverage and top stack scores on each site, there is no reason to not play what is arguably the best offensive line in hockey. The Ducks can provide little to no resistance, so my hesitation is near nonexistent.

After changing it up before last game, the Sharks’ new top line looks to get it going here against the Wild. It is arguable to say which line is the top line, but that isn’t a big concern for NHL DFS.
To clear up any confusion Tomas Hertl has taken over the reins in San Jose after coming back full bore from a blown knee. Logan Couture may still be the best overall center on the team, but they’ve made it clear which line they are leaning to for offense. Along with Hertl are human shot machines Timo Meier and Evander Kane. This line as a whole possesses a ton of upside but also gives a great floor, averaging six shots per game between them.
The Wild are a solid defensive team, and it may reflect in the overall projection of this line. That said, at under 10% on each site and a top-three leverage spot, you don’t have to go crazy to put yourself in a beneficial spot.
