FLA1 (Dadonov-Barkov-Bjugstad)
The Panthers’ top line will likely come in at lower ownership than all 3 of the home top lines in action tonight, but looking at what the Capitals have done at even-strength, they are in a great spot. Washington is top-5 in all of Corsi Against per 60, Scoring Chances Against per 60, and High-Danger Chances Against per 60 so far this season despite their hot start. The matchups for the Caps have been a bit unclear in their first few home games, but regardless of which line they see (Backstrom or Kuznetsov), it should be high-event hockey. Add in the top power-play time for Dadonov and Barkov and you’ve got a great GPP stack in the Florida top line.
MIN2 (Parise-Koivu-Granlund)
The Wild have done some line shuffling in the last few days, but it appears they’ll keep the Koivu line in tact when he returns to the lineup tonight. In their road matchups with the Stars last year, the Koivu-Granlund combo was matched with the Radek Faksa line, which sets up well for them tonight. The Faksa line this year has been less-than-stellar, posting a 49.4 Corsi For Percentage, 29.5 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes, and 13.2 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes at even-strength. Power play time for this trio is crucial as Dallas was short-handed the 2nd-most times in 2017-18, so extended man-advantage time here for Parise, Koivu, and Granlund could be in the cards.
