EDM1 (Chiasson-McDavid-Draisaitl)
Connor McDavid and the top Oilers line should see very favorable even-strength matchups against the Flyers, and they’ve played at one of the highest paces in the NHL so far. These 3 are averaging over 20 minutes per game together since they’ve become a trio, and full power-play correlation against the league’s worst penalty-kill (72.4%) doesn’t hurt their cause either. Even on a back-to-back, they’ll be one of the highest-owned lines on the slate, but with other expensive viable lines, I’m looking to take a stand and get overweight on this line.
DET1 (Abdelkader-Larkin-Nyquist)
Detroit’s top line comes into tonight at just $16K on DraftKings, not even in the top-10 most expensive lines, despite a home matchup with the Senators. Ottawa is still getting smashed at even-strength on the road, and their penalty-kill is only in front of Philadelphia’s, ranking 30th on the year. Throw in this line’s incredible “fancy numbers” such as 35 Scoring Chances For per 60 and nearly 20 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes at even-strength as well as top power-play time for Larkin and Nyquist, and you’ve got one of the best values on the entire slate.
CHI2 (DeBrincat-Strome-Kane)
Another top value that I’m getting a lot of in initial crunches is the Chicago 2nd line, which will be at home tonight against the Jets. DeBrincat and Kane are both underpriced, and as expected, this line is playing at exceptional pace at 5v5. The Toews line will more than likely be hard-matching with WPG1, leaving CHI2 to see extended time against WPG2, which is allowing 64.1 Corsi Against per 60, 28 Scoring Chances Against per 60, and 14.6 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 at even-strength. For under $15K on DraftKings, they open up a lot of opportunity with the rest of your lineup, as they’ll fit with basically any other top line on the slate.
