NSH1 (Forsberg-Sissons/Jarnkrok-Arvidsson)

With Ryan Johansen serving the 2nd game of his 2-game suspension, Colton Sissons (who spent the most time on NSH1 in their last game) or Calle Jarnkrok will step in and take his spot between Forsberg and Arvidsson, making the line affordable to stack on DraftKings. While they should see some time against the MacKinnon line, Colorado hasn’t been doing much hard-matching as of late, which means they’ll be able to avoid significant time trying to limit COL1. The Avs have been a heavy power-play target as of late because of their habit of going to the penalty-box, who are tied for 1st in the NHL in Times Short-Handed and have a bottom-5 kill. Keep an eye on the line rushes in pre-game skate (around 2:30 ET), but they make for a solid mid-tier stack regardless which player is centering Forsberg and Arvidsson.

STL1 (Maroon-O’Reilly-Tarasenko)

The new-look Blues’ top line also come into today’s game as an affordable stack on the road, as they’ll get the lowly Kings in Los Angeles this afternoon. Despite the Kings’ best efforts to slow down the pace and grind games away, they’ve allowed the 3rd-most Corsi Against per 60, 2nd-most Scoring Chances Against per 60, and 2nd-most High-Danger Chances Against per 60 over any team’s last 10 games. The Blues on the other hand, are top-10 in CF/60, SCF/60, and HDCF/60 over their last 10 contests. The Kings’ 2nd-worst penalty-kill is also a way to attack them, and it works out well that STL1 has full power-play correlation on the top unit. For $16,200 on DraftKings, this is one of the best values stacks on this short slate, even though they’re going to be popular in tournaments.

VGK2 (Pacioretty-Stastny-Tuch)

The Golden Knights’ 2nd line will get the better of the matchups tonight as they’ll get to see very little of the Koivu line for Minnesota with the benefit of last change. Pacioretty, Stastny, and Tuch have been very good in their 83 minutes of ice time together, posting a 59% Corsi For Percentage, 38 Scoring Chances For per 60, and 13.2 High-Danger Chances per 60 at 5v5. Vegas has had a favorable schedule as of late, but they’re in the midst of their best streak of the season and rank #1 in CF/60 and SCF/60 in their last 10 games. They’ll also have full-power-play correlation for $16,700 on DraftKings, in what is a great slate to go with a double mid-tier stack (if you’re not paying almost $24K for COL1) to fit in some of the top defensemen on the slate.
