NJ1 (Hall-Hischier-Palmieri)
The New Jersey top line should see very favorable matchups against an Islanders team that has been brutal at shot suppression this season once again, and is allowing nearly 30 Scoring Chances Against per 60 and 13 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 at even-strength. This line also all plays on the top power-play unit for a power-play that has a 27.9% success rate on the year while the Isles have been sub-par on the kill (78.4%). NJ1 should dominate at even-strength and have plenty of chances to do damage on the power-play, too, making them one of the top stacks on the night.
CHI2 (Saad-Anisimov-Kane)
When looking at even-strength matchups, it’s hard to argue with this line having one of the best on the entire slate. They should see a hard-match with the Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm as the Backlund and Toews lines also matchup, and that should mean a lot of scoring chances for both sides. CGY1 has been one of the worst defensive lines in the NHL this year, allowing over 36.7 Scoring Chances Against per 60 and over 20 (yes, 20!) High-Danger Chances Against per 60 at even-strength. Kane and Anisimov will also all be on the top power-play unit and you can get this line for under $16K on DraftKings which is an absolute bargain.
VGK1 (Smith-Karlsson-Marchessault)
There are a couple lines (STL1, PIT1) tonight that just seem way too cheap despite being at home, and VGK1 is certainly one of them. They have yet to explode this year, but they’ll be getting a Carolina team on a road back-to-back, and all the advanced numbers are still there for them, including a 57.9 Corsi For Percentage and over 32 Scoring Chances For per 60 at even-strength. Carolina is also committing more penalties this season, so a league-worst 66.7% kill and top power-play time for each player listed makes for a high-upside stack in GPPs.
