SJ1 (Kane-Pavelski-Labanc)

The Shark’s top line comes into the game with some dominant numbers in their first couple games (both of which were on the road), posting a 63.6 Corsi For Percentage with 24 Scoring Chances and 12 High-Danger Chances in that short time together. As we saw the other night in Vegas, Buffalo has no match for a dominant line, and both the Sharks’ top-2 lines look to be in great spots, but I’m giving the slight edge to the top line, as they’ll likely see less time against the Eichel line, which is been OK defensively, and they seem to be well underpriced as a whole.

CBJ1 (Panarin-Dubois-Atkinson)

Speaking of underpriced, the Blue Jackets top line comes into tonight as a solid value at under $18K on DraftKings. Columbus doesn’t hard-match at home, so Panarin, Dubois, and Atkinson won’t see extended time against the Couturier line for the Flyers, and Philadelphia is allowing the most High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes over their first 6 games this year. It’s also nice that we have a big sample on CBJ1 as a trio, who, going back to the start of last season have a 56.5 Corsi For Percentage with over 35 Scoring Chances For and nearly 14 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes. The only (minor) issue with this line is they don’t have full power-play correlation as Columbus is going with a balanced approach on their two PP units, but we can get past that because of the excellent even-strength matchup.

TB2 (Palat-Johnson-Kucherov)

Keeping with the theme of underpriced stacks, Palat, Johnson, and Kucherov can be had for just over $17K on DraftKings tonight, and it’s not like they’re in a tough matchup, either. The Red Wings are a one-line team at this point, and the Johnson line won’t have to face much of the Larkin line at even-strength this evening. Detroit has been middle-of-the-pack at allowing shot attempts, but when they do, many of them have been high-danger opportunities, as they’re 3rd in High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes this season. The Johnson-Kucherov combo has played very high-event hockey in their time together dating back to last season, and each of these 3 will get power-play time against a Detroit team that has been short-handed 4 times per game so far this year.
