OTT1 (Tkachuk-Tierney-Stone)

The Senators’ top line looks like a fantastic option that may go underowned as many people start their lineups with some of the top (and most expensive) lines in the league — CGY1, COL1, BOS1, EDM1, etc. This line has posted over 64 Corsi For per 60, 33.8 Scoring Chances For per 60, and 16.7 High-Danger Chances For per 60 and we’ve been targeting the Avalanche because of their inability to stay out of the penalty box (2nd-most TSH/game). The Sens, surprisingly, have an adequate power-play (21.3%), so full power-play correlation for just $14,500 makes this line a top value on this 5-game slate, especially when you factor in that they’ll get to avoid COL1 at even-strength.

COL1 (Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen)

Speaking of Colorado’s top line, they come into tonight amongst the league-lead in every category, getting as much ice time as any trio in the NHL. Despite only 10 teams to choose from, many will look to lower-priced top lines such as CGY1, BOS1, and EDM1, who all look to be in good spots as well, but may see increased ownerships because of their prices. At the very least, ownership should be pretty spread around, but it’s hard to argue against COL1 as the overall top stack on the night, as they of course have full power-play correlation while the Sens are top-10 in CA/60, SCA/60, and HDCA/60 on home ice this season. They should see the Duchene line at even-strength, which has been poor defensively (72 CA/60, 37.7 SCA/60, 14.9 HDCA/60) in their short sample of 55 minutes.

SJ2 (Radil-Couture-Meier)

The Sharks have been incredible at even-strength since putting together these new lines, and while SJ3 (Hertl line) has the amazing results, the underlying offensive numbers SJ2 has posted (68 CF/60, 30.2 SCF/60, 12.9 HDCF/60) are very good all around. Because of the lack of power-play correlation amongst the Sharks’ lines, full stacks of their lines are going under-owned in lower-stakes, and it’s pretty safe to say SJ2 will be lower-owned than the Hertl line. For $300 cheaper on DraftKings, SJ2 will likely get the better of the even-strength matchups, and the savings may allow you to get up to a Burns or Karlsson for more correlation in your 4-man stack.
