A Saturday full of playoff hockey is about as good as it gets. We’ve got a 4-game slate that will last all night, and the great part about the playoffs is that we get to use stars and great lines each slate. Here are a couple of our favorite stacks for today’s slate, with Awesemo weighing in first followed by analysis by myself (Tommienation1).
TB1: Palat-Point-Johnson ($15,400 DK/$17,200 FD)
“The Lightning have the top implied total on the slate at 3.6 goals, and they’ll get a favorable offensive matchup against the Devils’ top line.”
This line was fantastic in Game-1, posting 15 shot attempts and 8 scoring chances while going up against Taylor Hall and the Devils’ best line. NJ1 allowed 31.8 Scoring Chances Against per 60 minutes and 12.9 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes on the year and the Point line for TB should hard-match them once again in Game-2 today. I’m expecting this to be a very high-event matchup at even-strength, and all these guys will be on the 2nd power-play together.
BOS1: Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak ($21,500 DK/$23,600 FD)
“The Leafs are down their shutdown center while the Bruins have a 3.4 total, suggesting their top line should have success again in Game-2.”
BOS1 is worth every penny of their expensive price tag tonight after a dominant performance in Game-1. They posted 18 shot attempts and 8 Scoring Chances, while only allowing 5 shot attempts and 2 Scoring Chances Against two days ago against the Leafs, and we should see more of the same today. They’ll likely matchup against the Matthews line, which allowed over 13 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes in the regular season. This will be one of the toughest fades of the night on a short slate, especially since there are enough cheap filler stacks to fit them in.
