We’ve got a couple Game-6 tilts tonight with the Bruins and Capitals looking to advance, while the Leafs and Blue Jackets looking to force Game-7s. Here are a couple stacks we like for tournaments, and don’t forget to check out the spotlight plays article as well. Awesemo will start with a quote about each stack, then I (Tommienation1) will follow up with some extra analysis.
CBJ2: Jenner-Wennberg-Vanek ($12,300 DK/$13,800 FD)
“The second line for the Blue Jackets is very cheap on both sites for a team that has a rising team total (up to 2.8) tonight.”
This line (“B” DK value) was great offensively towards the end of the season, posting a near 55 Corsi For Percentage, 31.6 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and 14.9 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes. They may not be the biggest names, but it’s hard to argue with those kinds of numbers over a large sample (152 minutes), and they’ve been solid this series in a small sample (60.2 Corsi For Percentage in 14 minutes). Throw in the fact that they all get power-play time (Vanek on the top unit, Wennberg and Jenner on the 2nd unit), and you’ve got a high-upside stack for cheap.
BOS1: Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak ($21,200 DK/$23,400 FD)
“The top line for the Bruins has been unstoppable all series, and even on the road, Boston has a big team total in a game that should be high-event.”
Marchand, Bergeron, and Pastrnak (“A” points grade) have done their thing at even-strength all series, doubling up their opponents in shot attempts (68-33), Scoring Chances (40-17), and High-Danger Chances (12-5). The Leafs just have no answer even with the return of Nazem Kadri, whose line allowed over 13 High-Danger Chances Against per 60 minutes. It’s going to be tough to fit this stack in on both sites, but they’re worth if it you want to sacrifice paying up for Ovechkin and/or some top defensemen. I absolutely love BOS1 tonight in what is a closeout game for them.
