NHL Content Schedule

Jake Hari

To meet everyone’s NHL DFS needs, we put out a ton of content each and every day from the world’s #1 ranked player’s rankings, to articles and cheat sheets detailing our experts’ favorite picks and pivots, to videos giving you access to the most up-to-date late breaking news and lineup advice in the minutes before lock, and so much more. But given the abundance of content we realize it can be overwhelming to try to navigate the site and make sense of it all. That’s where this content schedule comes in. Below is a brief description and link to each piece of content, including whether it’s free or premium (each is posted/streamed daily unless otherwise indicated):

Podcasts & Videos

NHL Hit The Ice Show (FREE) (4 pm ET): featuring Jake Hari and Nolan Kelly, and Michael Clifford on Mondays. Brought to you by a couple of our top NHL analysts, the NHL Hit The Ice show delves into the intricacies of DFS analysis breaking down almost every DFS-relevant player and sharing where Jake and Nolan will have the most/least exposure on the slate. The show focuses not only on identifying “plays-of-the-day” but also on strategies on how to approach DFS that are applicable to each and every slate, including different types of stacking strategies that are great ways to differentiate your lineups. Engage with the hosts and some of the most knowledgeable and impassioned DFS players around in our premium Slack chat or free YouTube chat.

NHL Fantasy-Point Projections (Premium) (posted by 11 am ET/updated throughout the day as news breaks): Our fantasy point projections break down every element of a player’s projected performance and synthesizes thousands of data points into one easy to use fantasy-point projection for each player that can be used as a reference for hand-building lineups or plugged into an optimizer to create hundreds of lineups within seconds. The player’s projections page also breaks down each statistical scoring category (goals, shots, blocks, assists etc.).

Awesemo’s NHL Rankings (Premium) (posted by 3:30 pm ET): The world’s best DFS player releases his letter grade rankings, both on a player and stack level, for each and every fantasy-relevant player/stack on the day’s slates. Perfect for hand-building lineups or comparing to your own projections to test for accuracy, these grades are also featured in our Lineup Builder.

Office Hours

NHL Office Hours (Premium) (hosted 5-6pm ET on Tuesdays) A new feature where Jake Hari and Nolan Kelly will be hosting office hours for more in-depth NHL discussion.  Want to learn the intricacies of a 3-man, 4-man or even a “Josh” stack?  Talk about single entry strategy?  Learn how to identify a player pool for your style of gaming?  This is the relaxed environment to learn how to improve your results from a veteran player.

NHL Lineup Builder (Premium) (updated each day by 3 pm ET): The Lineup Builder is the perfect tool for hand-building lineups. Equipped with Awesemo’s proprietary rankings, as well as Vegas implied goal totals, matchups and lineup information, this tool aggregates all the information you need to build your best lineup onto a single page. Lineups you build on this page will receive both a GPA based on Awesemo’s rankings and a contrarian percentile ranking for evaluating whether your GPP lineups are too “chalky.”

NHL Fantasy Cruncher optimizer (Premium add-on) (updated the night before): The most powerful optimizer in DFS, available as an add-on to premium members, is updated the night before with all of the day’s slates.

NHL Lineup Study (Premium add-on): Analyze how the top players are building their lineups to take your game to the next level. Every single DraftKings contest is available to be analyzed to see what the pros are doing!

Slack Chat (Premium) featuring all of our analysts and the world’s most passionate DFS community: join us in our NHL slack channel where we’re talking strategy, plays, posting all-important last-minute line changes and late scratches, what we see while we watch the games (and sometimes sweating lineups) in to the late hours of the night.

NHL Cheatsheets by Jake Hari (FREE) (posted each day by 11:30 am ET): Based on Jake’s expected exposure, he lists some of the players he’ll be over the field on for that night’s slate.

Line Changes (Premium) (posted by 3:30 pm ET for 4+ game slates) by Nolan Kelly: Staying up to date on news can be a big edge in NHL DFS, as you never know when coaches will pull out the blender and mix up lines, or a player becomes a game-time decision because of a flu bug going around. Nolan updates our subscribers on which players changed lines, who is seeing the most power-play time, and where they might be some potential late-swap edges on that night’s slate.

Spotlight Stacks and Power Plays (FREE) (posted by 10am ET Monday-Saturday for 3+ game slates) by Jake Hari, Jeff Votts, Michael Clifford and Chris Wassel. Stacking and lineup correlation is a huge part of our analysts’ NHL DFS success. Jake’s data-driven article breaks down the lines he likes for main slate GPPs, with the reasons why he likes them, including low ownership, advanced statistics in their favor, recent overall performance, etc.). Jeff Votts, Chris Wassel, and Michael Clifford give you an in-depth breakdown at a 2-4 players at each position that they love based on their extensive research for each slate. Use it for cash or GPPs to help grow your bankroll.
