The BIG news
- Boone Jenner is expected back for the Blue Jackets tonight. He’ll skate in his usual spot between Josh Anderson and Nick Foligno. Lukas Sedlak moves to the 4th line, Anthony Duclair is out.
- Nathan MacKinnon is off the COL PP1. JT Compher and Alex Kerfoot are on the top unit.
- TJ Oshie is likely out tonight for the Capitals. If he can’t go, Brett Connolly would likely take his spot on WAS2 and Tom Wilson would move onto the PP1. Devante Smith-Pelly and Andre Burakovsky will flank Lars Eller on WAS3. However the Capitals didn’t skate this morning, so it’s also possible that he is able to play.
Note:
- With the trade deadline fast approaching, keep an eye on pre-game line rushes. We’re assuming players like Matt Duchene and Mark Stone will suit up, but if a trade gets close, they could end up sitting out.
Advice
- The Oshie late-swap/checking in on the Capitals lines tonight before the game, could be a great way to differentiate your lineups. There’s a chance they switch up the lines entirely and put Kuznetsov backon WAS2.
- Slight downgrade for COL1, slight upgrade for COL2. Not sure what Bednar is thinking with this one.
The little news
- Anton Stralman takes a seat tonight for the Bolts, Braydon Coburn draws in alongside Mikhail Sergachev.
- John Hayden is on CHI4, Chris Kunitz sits.
- Gustav Forsling draws in alongside Erik Gustafsson on the Blackhawks second pairing. Carl Dahlstrom is out.
- Mikkel Boedker returns for the Senators on OTT4 beside Tierney and Balcers.
- Andrew Agozzino makes his season debut on the COL4 tonight. He’s averaged a point a game in the AHL this season.
- Peter Cehlarik sits tonight for the Bruins. AHL call up Karson Kuhlman will skate on BOS2 with Krecji and DeBrusk. Kulhman has averaged half a point a game for the Providence Bruins this season.
Advice:
- Kuhlman is a sneaky play tonight. He should have no ownership and he’s the bare min. That BOS2 combo has seen an uptick in ice-time and Krecji is now on the PP1 with DeBrusk.
- OTT4 is an okay deep-sleeper that will receiving no ownership tonight. Both Tierney and Balcers have gotten PP time of late.
