MLB Odds + Betting Picks

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays: Tampa Bay Moneyline (-149)

The Red Sox are off to an atrocious 3-8 start and are pretty much a full on fade anytime Nathan Eovaldi isn’t on the mound (and Eovaldi actually lost on Tuesday). Martin Perez got it together with a decent start against the Mets his last time out but got lit up in a 7-2 loss to the Orioles in his season debut. Ryan Yarbrough is off to a much more trustworthy start with a 1.54 ERA through his first two starts, and the bullpen advantage here goes to the Rays by a mile. Tampa has been a top-10 pitching team thus far, while the Red Sox rank 27th in MLB.

This moneyline price has been climbing up at different books all day. Currently, PointsBet is offering the best MLB odds at -149, but you’ll want to make sure to check this one out up to the minute, as the best price has changed books while writing this article.

Houston Astros at Arizona Diamondbacks: Houston Moneyline (-136)

The Astros got us an easy 8-2 victory on Tuesday, and we’re going right back to them, as the Diamondbacks starting pitching has absolutely killed them so far this season. Robbie Ray is off to an 0-2 start with an alarming 8.64 ERA, pitching in a 5-1 loss to the Padres and a 6-3 loss to the Dodgers. I don’t expect things to improve against Houston, which now has the top offenses in baseball at six runs per game, and that number improves to 6.75 runs in road games. Lance McCullers has been decent in his return to the mound, pitching for the first time since 2018. He’s allowed six runs in 10 innings, but Houston earned a 7-2 win against Seattle and 9-6 win against the Angels in his starts. With the bullpen advantage also on Houston’s side, this price is too short.

All the love for PointsBet and they are actually the lone book with the worst price on this game as this article goes to be published. However, all four other books are offering -136, so wherever you want to try and build your bankroll is the place to bet this one. Keep an eye out to see if anything changes, and you can lock in -135 or better at another book.

NBA Odds + Betting Picks

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Oklahoma City+5.5 (+100)

The Lakers locked up the top seed in the Western Conference with Monday’s victory over the Jazz, so the motivation in this one might wind up being a factor. If there’s a time to limit LeBron James or Anthony Davis, now would be the time as the Lakers prepare to ramp up for a playoff run. The Thunder are one of the best teams against the spread at 41-25, and coming off a tough overtime loss against the Nuggets should have them in a bounce-back spot. Oklahoma City is still in the thick of it, battling for playoff position in the west. While the Lakers are 3-0 against the Thunder this season, the Thunder would’ve covered this spread in two of those losses. The Lakers are just 1-2 against the spread in the bubble.

Unless a +6 pops out on the board somewhere else, PointsBet is offering even money on the spread, making it a no-brainer versus laying the juice at any of the other books. Not only for this game, but if you’re going to be betting any NBA spread on Wednesday, it looks like PointsBet is the place to go, with even odds on both sides of any spread.
