NFL Picks + NFL Odds: Thursday Night Football | Jets vs. Broncos
Noah Fant Over 44.5 Receiving Yards: -112 (BetMGM, as of 12:30 p.m.)
We get Week 4 started with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Jets and the Broncos. You never know how a game will unfold, but on the surface this one has all the makings to be historically bad considering the two teams. Both are destined for a top draft pick, and this could determine which team grabs the No. 1 pick in next years draft. Currently Vegas has the Jets as a 1-point favorite at home despite having the worst point differential in the entire league.
There are a lot of player props available on this game, so we can dig in to find value. Sometimes that comes via a prop with a marquee player, but other times it’s a lesser-known guy whose line is off. In the case of the game tonight, I am attacking Broncos tight end Noah Fant, specifically his receiving yards. The line is 44.5 yards and a toss-up at -112 on both sides. I lean to the over and think that Fant will be forced into another heavy-usage situation in a game the Broncos actually should be competitive in.

Tonight, Alex has Sam Darnold projected for just 208 yards, which means the under is a pretty sharp option. Click the image below to start shopping!
Denver has had a brutal start to the season with all the injuries they have suffered. Both Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton aren’t available, and that has resulted in just 15 points per game through the first three weeks. They now turn to third-string quarterback Brett Rypien for a much needed spark, and he saw some action in last week’s game. It remains to be seen how Rypien will play, but they should be relying heavily on their remaining weapons on the outside, specifically Fant.
Through the first three games, Fant leads this Broncos team in targets and receptions, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. He comes in averaging seven targets per game and just north of 60 yards per game, both of which are positive outlooks for this Week 4 matchup. The Jets defense is weak across the board, and the Broncos have limited options on offense. The other bonus with targeting Fant’s receiving yards is that he is a big-play threat with two catches of at least 20 yards on the season already. I expect to see some shots to him, and if he gets in the open field, he could easily eclipse this total on just a few receptions.
