A full Saturday of NBA Playoff basketball will conclude with a pair of very intriguing matchups in primetime. First, the Boston Celtics will look to take full control of their Eastern Conference series against the Brooklyn Nets. Then, the nightcap will feature Game 4 of what has been a wild series thus far between the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves. Of course, there are plenty of ways for bettors to get involved in the action as well. Player props continue to be one of the best ways to bet on the NBA Postseason. You can easily enhance your NBA player props handicapping process further by including the redesigned OddsShopper as well as NBA betting tips today. Thanks to this tremendous tool, finding the best NBA player props bets today is as simple as three quick steps: Filter, sort, bet.
Best NBA Player Prop Bets & Expert Betting Picks Today
With OddsShopper, finding the best NBA player props betting odds is fast and simple. All users have to do is filter the prop selections, sort the page and find the best pick to bet. The process is extremely quick and highly effective. Try out the tool for yourself tonight with the three featured prop bets below!
Jayson Tatum Over 7.5 Rebounds (+104, FanDuel)
After averaging 8.0 rebounds per game over the course of the season, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has only corralled 10 boards total through the first two games of the NBA Playoffs. One has to believe that positive regression in this category is imminent for the former No. 3 overall pick. Add in the fact that the Celtics are still without starting center Robert Williams III and the importance of taking a collective team approach on the glass remains high.
Despite the fact that Tatum only finished with four and six rebounds in Games 1 and 2 respectively, OddsShopper is looking toward betting the over on tonight’s NBA player props line of 7.5. The fact that Tatum would only need to achieve his per-game average to go over the prop total suggests that this could be a favorable bet. In addition, the opponent Brooklyn Nets aren’t exactly a juggernaut when it comes to rebounding the basketball.
Perhaps the best part of this prop for bettors is the fact that OddsShopper lists +104 odds as being available on the over. This only helps to boost the potential return and, thus, the bet’s overall value. Awesemo officially tabs Tatum to finish with 8.39 boards in tonight’s contest. This figure translates to a win probability of 60% for this over prediction. At the optimal price point, the expected ROI value is set at 22%.
Goran Dragic Over 1.5 Assists (-167, BetMGM)
Almost from out of nowhere, Goran Dragic has played 20+ minutes for the Brooklyn Nets in each of their first two playoff games. Assuming that trend continues in Game 3 tonight, one has to be intrigued by the opportunity to play over 1.5 assists for the veteran point guard. Dragic has been one of the craftier playmakers in the league for several years now. With the Boston Celtics limiting how much Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been able to do in iso-sets thus far, ball movement could be key to the Nets getting back into this series tonight.
Despite seeing a decent number of minutes and scoring 14+ points in both Games 1 and 2, Dragic actually failed to exceed the NBA player props assist total in both contests. He had one assist in the series-opener and failed to record any in Game 2 on Wednesday. Despite this, OddsShopper shows a very large amount of juice being required for bettors to play the over on 1.5 dimes for Dragic tonight. The fact that Dragic averaged nearly two assists per game while also averaging less than 20 minutes played over the course of his limited regular season is worth noting.
Even with the cheapest price currently resting at -167 odds, Awesemo is recommending this prop as a profitable NBA betting opportunity. Given how he has been scoring the ball, it’s hard to argue that Dragic won’t maintain his role in the Nets’ rotation moving forward. Awesemo officially projects the 35-year-old for 3.21 helpers in tonight’s Game 3. Juice and all, this yields a 31% expected ROI value to go along with a massive 82% win probability.

D’Angelo Russell Under 7.5 Assists (-112, FanDuel)
From a statistical standpoint, D’Angelo Russell played easily his best game of this series on Thursday night. Along with scoring 22 points to lead all Minnesota Timberwolves players, he also dished out eight assists in the loss. This marked the second time in the first three games of the series in which Russell managed to exceed tonight’s NBA player props total of 7.5 helpers. He also had nine total assists in Minnesota’s Game 1 win.
Despite the success that Russell has achieved as a playmaker thus far, there is reason to believe that he will likely fall short of his assists prop total in Game 4. It’s worth pointing out that Russell only averaged 7.1 assists per game over the course of the full season. Thus, he again will need to exceed that average by nearly one full assist to go over the prop line tonight. With Patrick Beverley and Anthony Edwards also doing plenty of ball-handling, Russell is hardly Minnesota’s full-time point guard.
Add in the fact that the Grizzlies are a top-five defense in terms of efficiency and it becomes even more difficult to rationalize Russell breezing over his assists average for the third time in four games. OddsShopper suggests that the NBA betting market agrees with this assessment. Currently, almost every sportsbook has its odds juiced to the under on this prop. In fact, the favorable -112 price is up to 13 cents cheaper than other listings. At the optimal odds, Awesemo believes this under wager has an expected ROI of 26%. The official projection for Russell is 6.55 assists in tonight’s game. This assigns a 67% win probability to the under.
