Nicolas Batum Over 2.5 Assists

Nicolas Batum NBA player props picks odds prediction

Nicolas Batum was everywhere in the team’s victory on Friday night. He eclipsed the 40-minute threshold for the second straight game and delivered across the stat sheet. Batum’s final line included 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and a pair of steals. For Sunday, with the odds set at 2.5 total assists, bettors can find some excellent value in the over.

Although Batum only exceeded 2.5 total assists one time last round, he was consistently knocking on the doorstep. He finished with exactly two assists in four other games. Batum has averaged 2.2 dimes per game dating back to the regular season. He is a whole lot closer to going over the projection than the +130 odds to the over would suggest. With Kawhi Leonard again unavailable for the Clippers’ series opener against the Suns this afternoon, Batum should see ample playing time. The Suns are a tricky defense to solve, but the potential is there for a plus-money profit with this prediction.

Kevin Huerter Under 12.5 Points

Kevin Huerter NBA player props picks odds prediction

The 44 minutes that Kevin Huerter played in the Hawks’ Game 6 loss on Friday marked a playoff high. The substantial rise in playing time was largely due to fellow perimeter player Bogdan Bogdanovic sustaining a knee injury. That said, Huerter turned in one heck of a game. He finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and added a steal and block for good measure. Unfortunately, such scoring performances haven’t been the norm for Huerter this postseason. Although he has scored in double figures in seven of the Hawks’ last 10 games, he has only exceeded today’s NBA betting odds of 12.5 total points on three occasions. His shooting has been very hit or miss throughout the postseason as well. In Atlanta’s shocking Game 5 win just two days before his solid Game 6 performance, Huerter shot 0-for-7 from the floor and finished with a goose egg in the scoring column. Excluding Friday’s game in which he saw increased minutes, Huerter has had to shoot well over 50% to exceed the NBA player props total. How a young player like him responds to the pressure of a Game 7 atmosphere is anyone’s guess. Unless the Hawks hold Bogdanovic out entirely, all signs point to the under being a solid choice for today’s prop picks.

Ben Simmons Under 7.5 Rebounds

After starting the playoffs off with excellent play, Ben Simmons has hit a bit of a wall in this series. The Hawks have had an answer for him at the offensive end. Simmons has failed to even reach double figures scoring in three of the last five games. Early foul trouble certainly didn’t help the cause in Game 6, and Simmons wound up only playing 25 minutes. It has been a rough series overall for him, and bettors can find some intriguing odds on playing under 7.5 rebounds for Simmons in tonight’s Game 7.

Ben Simmons NBA player props

The Awesemo NBA Player Props Tool loves the value on this prop prediction. Although Simmons managed to haul in nine rebounds on Friday, that is quite the statistical anomaly relative to the rest of this series. He has only exceeded four rebounds one other time, let alone tonight’s line of 7.5. He averaged 7.2 rebounds per game dating back to the regular season, suggesting that the plus-money odds are on the more likely side of this prop. With the way Tyrese Maxey played in relief of Simmons in Game 6, it also wouldn’t be a shock to see Doc Rivers play Maxey a little more on Sunday night as well. Look to go under 7.5 tonight.
