Keita Bates-Diop Over 5.5 Rebounds (-128, BetMGM)

The San Antonio Spurs are among the latest teams to be decimated by health and safety protocols. Specifically, as a result of Keldon Johnson being among those in health and safety protocols, Keita Bates-Diop stands in line to see a significant amount of playing time again this evening. The 25-year-old has surpassed 25 minutes of action in each of the last three games including playing 37 minutes yesterday. Considering that Bates-Diop has averaged 4.0 rebounds in just 16.6 minutes per game on the season, one has to like his chances of exceeding the NBA player props line of 5.5 this evening.

After snaring six boards on Sunday, Bates-Diop has now topped tonight’s NBA betting total in five of his last eight games played. His season averages suggest that he does not need extended playing time to make an impact on the glass. That being said, additional minutes and opportunities certainly will not hurt. Awesemo’s projections peg Bates-Diop for 6.59 rebounds tonight, a mark that sits one full board higher than the prop line. The OddsShopper Tool also shows that the market is juiced fairly significantly to the over. At favorable -128 odds, this prediction is determined to have an expected ROI of 16%.

James Harden Under 9.5 Assists (-104, SugarHouse)

The Brooklyn Nets are on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight which means that Kyrie Irving will be active and in the lineup. While it is somewhat difficult to be enthralled with betting many offensive props under against the awful Blazers’ defense, the fact that Irving will be able to play leads Awesemo to find a massive edge on James Harden‘s assist total. The current NBA player props line of 9.5 sits just below the 9.7 assists Harden has averaged on a per-game basis this season. However, all but one game thus far has come without Irving on the floor. Against Indiana last Wednesday, Harden had only six assists in 40 minutes of action.

The ability for Irving to play orchestrate the offense figures to once again cut into Harden’s passing totals tonight. In addition, the potential for a blowout against a shorthanded Portland bunch could result in the Nets’ big three playing reduced minutes. Awesemo officially projects Harden for 8.54 assists. Bettors should make sure to reference OddsShopper for the best available price on this prop bet tonight. Currently, optimal -104 odds are over 15 cents better value than other prices in the NBA betting market. Along with a 66% win probability, this under prediction carries an expected ROI of 29% at the preferred odds.

Tyrese Haliburton Under 15.5 Points (-125, DraftKings)

Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Sacramento Kings will be playing the second game of a back-to-back when they tangle tonight. While second-year Kings point guard Tyrese Haliburton has had an uptick in scoring recently, Awesemo’s projections still see plenty of value in betting him under 15.5 points tonight. Scoring has been difficult to do for all Cleveland opponents this season. The Cavs enter Monday allowing the second-fewest points per game (102.4) of any team. This certainly is not the kind of matchup where one should rush out to bet a player to exceed his season scoring average.

Unfortunately, for those who elect to play over on this Haliburton scoring prop, that is exactly what they will be doing. The former Iowa State star has averaged only 13.7 points per game to date on the season. That mark sits nearly two full points below tonight’s NBA player props total. On top of that, OddsShopper shows several sportsbooks list this prop a full point lower than the preferred line. Even with some additional vig required to bet under 15.5 at -125, Awesemo still gives this prediction a 20% ROI. The projection sits at 12.91 points and comes in below both the betting line and Haliburton’s per-game average.
