Giannis Antetokounmpo has been inefficient from the free throw line and with his jump shots, but he has been great at everything else. The Nets have even followed him out to the 3-point line, opening up the rest of the floor. Khris Middleton has also been shooting better, which is a key to the Bucks’ success.
The Nets continue to rule players out over a day ahead of time, suggesting they may not be particularly close to playing. James Harden will be out yet again as he attempts to recover from a hamstring injury suffered during Game 1 of the series. Joining him will be Kyrie Irving, who turned his ankle pretty badly last game. This means the Nets’ big three is no more, and the pressure is on for Kevin Durant to will his team to a win. Bruce Brown has joined the starting lineup in Harden’s absence, and Mike James looks to be the leading candidate to take over point guard duties today. Neither player has looked particularly ready for this moment.
