Best NCAAB Picks Today: Providence -2.5

After a pair of upsets in Round 1, Providence meets Richmond in the Round of 32. Two teams due for negative regression, Providence holds the stronger resume overall. Despite overachieving, Providence finished first in the Big East regular season. Meanwhile, Richmond finished sixth in the A-10, upsetting numerous opponents to even punch their ticket to the big dance. From a matchup perspective, Providence and Richmond both rank inside the top 90 in offensive efficiency. However, Richmond ranks outside the top 150 in defensive efficiency and 295th in rebounding. Meanwhile, Providence ranks 105th in defensive efficiency and 49th in rebounding. Also getting healthier after A.J. Reeves and Aljami Durham battled injury down the stretch, Providence holds enough advantages to lay the 2.5-points here for our first college basketball pick today.

Best NCAAB Picks Today: Kansas -11.5

Originally opening -10, Kansas has quickly ballooned to -11.5 over Creighton in the Round of 32. While Creighton has overachieved at numerous points, including their Round 1 win over San Diego State, their most recently injuries simply look too difficult to overcome. Losing Ryan Nembhard late in the year, Creighton lost its elite big man Ryan Kalkbrenner to a season-ending injury in its last game. Kansas ranks 18th on offense, 66th on defense, and ninth in overall shot quality. Creighton already played one of the tightest rotations in the country and will now be tested even further. For those weary of laying the points, Kansas moneyline could also be included in parlays with other favorable NCAAB picks.

Best NCAAB Picks Today: UCLA -2.5

A potential buy-low spot on one of last year’s final four teams, UCLA enters a matchup against a surging Saint Mary’s team as a 2.5-point favorite. Playing in the West Coast Conference, Saint Mary’s enters this game with the weaker resume, including losses to Colorado State, Wisconsin, San Diego State, Santa Clara, and Gonzaga. Meanwhile, UCLA has shown elite potential against a much stronger conference in the PAC12. More importantly, UCLA finished 24-7 despite battling multiple injuries this year. At various points, the Bruins spent time without Jaime Jaquez, Tyger Campbell, Johnny Juzang, and Cody Riley. Now fully healthy, this team should exploit multiple advantages against the Gaels. UCLA ranks 23rd in offensive efficiency and 29th on defense. Saint Mary’s ranks 82nd if offensive efficiency and 24th on defense. Most important, Saint Mary’s ranks 252nd in rebounding, while UCLA checks in at 66th. Between these advantage, laying the 2.5-points with UCLA remains the sharp side of this college basketball pick today.
