With this game expected to be so close and truly a 50-50 game, the attention should turn to the player prop market where the starters on each team will play significant minutes. Heading to the South region, the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats are facing off against the No. 5 Houston Cougars in a game that features another small spread. The spread currently sits at Arizona -1.5 with an over/under of 145.5. This game has all the makings to be the best game thus far in the tournament and it should provide great entertainment late Thursday night with a 9:59 P.M. EST start time. Although the Wildcats got a scare from TCU last weekend, they are built to make a deep run to the final four. Although Houston has become the trendy underdog pick throughout the week, the play tonight is Arizona -1.5 at -110 odds. Benedict Mathurin is the Wildcats’ most consistent player and is destined to be a high draft pick in this year’s NBA Draft. Mathurin was strong down the stretch against TCU and he provides Arizona with a trustworthy scorer who can create for himself in important moments in the game. Pairing Mathurin with Christian Koloko and Azuolas Tubelis in the paint, the Wildcats not only have the best player on the court but also the best bigs in the game. Houston will give Arizona a great fight, but in a 40-minute game, the Wildcats will outlast the Cougars behind another strong game from their offensive weapons.
