Best NFL Betting Picks for Thursday Night Football on FanDuel Sportsbook | Giants vs. Washington

We have an NFC East battle between two winless teams tonight on Thursday Night Football. The Taylor Heinicke-led Washington Football Team will host Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. In other words, there will be no shortage of questions to be had at the quarterback position tonight, and it leads to many interesting NFL betting picks to make, with both game and NFL prop bets. FanDuel Sportsbook has great odds for TNF tonight, and these are some of the best NFL bets to make over there tonight.

Week 2 NFL Best Bets: Thursday Night Football Giants vs. Washington | FanDuel

Game Total: Over 40.5 (-115)

We have seen Thursday Night Football games often lead to high-scoring totals due to the lack of defensive installments during the shortened game week. With Heinicke starting for Washington and not much film on him, this only increases the likelihood of the over hitting. The total opened at 43 and dropped to 40.5, so we have 2.5 points to work with here. Awesemo also has a new sports betting model that we can use. The model shows the over has an ROI of 6.2%, making this the best game bet for tonight’s TNF game on FanDuel.

Taylor Heinicke Passing Yards: Under 245.5 (-110)

After a Ryan Fitzpatrick injury, Heinicke has back as the starter for Washington. However, given the short week and a lack of offseason reps with the starters, expectations for the inexperienced passer should be lowered slightly, despite his heroic play last postseason. With the lack of prep time, the game plan for Washington will likely be to run the offense through Antonio Gibson. He will be running the ball a lot and seeing plenty of drop-off passes from Heinicke. We also shouldn’t disrespect this Giants defense too much. Yes, the over should hit, and they also struggled against the Broncos last week, but they are still one of the more underrated defenses in the league.

Awesemo’s player props tool loves the Heinicke under prop on FanDuel tonight, as it projects the Washington passer for only 23726 passing yards.

Logan Thomas Anytime Touchdown (+210)

It’s clear Logan Thomas is the red zone receiving option for Washington. He’s a massive, athletic tight end that has gotten better every season in the league. With a lack of big-bodied weapons for Washington in the red zone, he’s an easy choice.

Washington threw one pass in the red zone last week, and it was a touchdown to Thomas. He saw about 32% of the team’s red-zone targets last season. Expect to see him targeted when Washington gets in close tonight.
