There is a new MLB betting tool on Awesemo. The Power Rankings tool makes predictions on games and helps highlight the MLB betting picks today that are likely to return a profit. This is similar to the MLB Player Prop tool but is used to find the best moneyline and run total baseball bets. The San Diego Padres look like a team to target with Blake Snell on the mound. After looking at the MLB Vegas betting odds, let’s dive into the baseball betting picks tonight.

MLB Expert Betting Picks & ROI Predictions | June 29

San Diego Padres (-140) at Cincinnati Reds6.2% Expected ROI

This is not the season the Padres expected from Blake Snell when they traded for him in the offseason. Once one of the best pitchers in baseball and a Cy Young winner, it made sense to think he could improve on his numbers by moving to the National League. Snell was going from the toughest hitting division in baseball, the American League East, to getting the benefit of facing a pitcher at least once per game. Instead, Snell has a career-high 5.29 ERA and a 5.36 FIP. He has struggled to throw strikes, which is limiting his ability to work deep into games, and he is also allowing a 19.2% HR/FB rate. The good news here is that his control is trending up. Snell has lowered his walk rate to 10.7% in June, which is a positive sign moving forward.

Boston Red Sox vs. Kansas City Royals Over/Under 10.5 Runs 11% Expected ROI

This is the baseball bet with the best expected return today on the Power Rankings tool. Following a game with 11 runs last night in which both starters struggled, the total looks inflated. The key here is that Nick Pivetta is a quality starting pitcher and appears a bit undervalued. For the season, he has a 4.00 ERA to go along with a 3.95 FIP. In addition, he rarely gets blown up. Pivetta has allowed more than four runs in a start only once this season, and that came against a potent Blue Jays offense. The Royals are well below average against right-handed pitching. They have an 89 wRC+ against righties, and Pivetta is handling the change in foreign substance policy just fine. Last time out he pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out eight against the Rays.
