The Buccaneers travel to what I’ll call “bloody MetLife,” due to all of the injuries suffered this season. Tampa is missing wide receiver Chris Godwin yet again, but his absence is in line with Rob Gronkowski getting in a groove. He has totaled 10 receptions for 140 yards and two touchdowns over the past two games. Passing to him will be Tom Brady, who has quite this history against the Giants. After seeing Drew Brees break a record this week, expect Brady to try and make a statement.
The big question in this game is if the Giants will be able to score against this Tampa defense. The Bucs are second in yards per play allowed (4.8), and they have allowed 20 or fewer points in each of the last three games. Meanwhile, the Giants offense stinks. The rank 31st in scoring offense (17.4), and Daniel Jones had a four-week stretch with zero touchdowns, three interceptions and four fumbles. The last time we saw Jones, he fell flat on his face. In prime time again, we could see something similar.
