However, they still have plenty to play for, with seeding still up in the air between them and the Steelers, who they would jump with a win. Buffalo has won their last four games by an average of 15 points. A big reason for this has been Josh Allen‘s performance over this span. He has completed 69.4% of his passes for 1,129 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions, adding another 104 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Allen will look for revenge, following a poor performance against the Patriots earlier this season. In that game he threw for 154 yards with an interception.
It has been a disaster for the Patriots throughout. They had the most players in the league opt out, suffered key injuries and had an overall untalented roster to begin with. While he certainly does not have much help, the Cam Newton experiment has been a complete failure. He has five touchdown passes to 10 interceptions on the season. Newton also has just one 200-yard passing game and one touchdown over the past four week. His rushing has also fell off, averaging just over 27 yards over the past seven weeks. Defensively, the Patriots allow the 11th-most yards per play in the league (5.7) but the sixth-fewest points (21.5), as they continue to use their bend-don’t-break scheme.
