There are seven games scheduled across the NBA tonight. With nearly half of the Association in action, there are plenty of opportunities to nail some winning NBA betting picks, particularly in the form of player prop bets. We’re back to provide some of the top plays on the board ahead of tonight’s action. Tuesday’s featured NBA player props include Kevin Huerter, Jusuf Nurkic and Moses Brown.

NBA Betting Prediction: NBA Player Props | April 13
Kevin Huerter Over 3.5 Rebounds
Huerter was featured in this very column previously for a rebounding prop. The play that night was under, and the NBA betting line was the same 3.5 total rebounds that is on the board tonight. After failing to exceed a single rebound in five consecutive games, Huerter has notched multiple boards in each of the Hawks’ last four outings. Another positive to note coming into tonight’s game is the fact that Huerter has seen his playing time bump up over 30 minutes in each of the last three games. It initially appeared he might be falling out of favor in interim coach Nate McMillan’s rotation. That notion is quite clearly no longer the case.

While pundits may point out that two rebounds apiece in each of the last two games stay well under tonight’s NBA player props line, the opponent is worth noting. The Bulls and Hornets both average around three full rebounds more per game than the Raptors. In fact, Toronto is the worst rebounding team in the NBA this season. Combine this with the various injury-related absences that the Hawks may have tonight, and Huerter should see both ample playing time and plenty of chances on the boards.
Jusuf Nurkic Under 3.5 Assists
Playing under on 3.5 total assists for Nurkic will require laying some hefty juice. Even with the current -170 NBA betting odds, the Awesemo NBA Player Props Tool is heavily in favor of making the wager. It’s hard to make much of an argument against it.
Of course, Nurkic missed significant time earlier this season due to injury. Nurkic has climbed back up to his season average of 22.3 minutes per game in the last two outings. After sitting out of the front end of a back-to-back over the weekend, Nurkic supplied 6 points, nine rebounds and four assists on Sunday against the Heat. That followed up a four-assist outing last Thursday as well. While Nurkic has eclipsed tonight’s NBA betting line in each of the last two games, all other angles would indicate that doesn’t happen again tonight.
Keep in mind that Nurkic is averaging just 2.9 assists per game on the season. For him to go over tonight’s prop line, he would have to outperform this by over one whole assist. That’s easier said than done for a player who is getting just over 20 minutes per game. On top of that, the Blazers face a top-10 scoring defense tonight in the Celtics. Boston has been playing better of late, holding five of their last six opponents below 110 points. Less scoring means fewer opportunities for assists. Battling with the athletic Robert Williams inside also doesn’t bode well for Nurkic.
Moses Brown Under 8.5 Rebounds
On the surface, everything would appear to be lining up for Brown to have a big game tonight. The opposing defense of the Jazz isn’t ideal. The lengthy list of Brown’s injured Thunder teammates certainly is. Oklahoma City will continue to be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Al Horford. In addition, the frontcourt will be without Isaiah Roby, Aleksej Pokusevski, Josh Hall and Mike Muscala for tonight’s road tilt.

That said, the primary cause for concern here is that Brown no longer has the center position on lock. Tony Bradley has now seen 20-plus minutes in each of the Thunder’s last six games, and his playing time has been far more consistent than Brown’s over that stretch. In Oklahoma City’s last game, Bradley actually played 25 minutes to just 19 for Brown. One 16-point, 14-rebound double-double later and it’s hard to believe the Thunder will abandon Bradley completely going forward.
Thanks to several massive stat lines this season, Brown is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game. That sits just below tonight’s NBA betting line. Therefore, Brown needs to exceed his season average to go over. He also needs to do so splitting minutes at the position with Bradley. On top of all that, the opponent Jazz are the best rebounding team in the NBA. Even with all the Thunder absences, the under stands out as the play here.
