NBA Betting Prediction: NBA Player Props | April 7

Alex Len Over 6.5 Rebounds

NBA player props NBA prediction Alex Len tonight rebounds

Anyone who has been playing season-long fantasy basketball knows full well the frustrations of the Wizards center position. After Thomas Bryant tore his ACL, coach Scott Brooks has simply refused to stick to any one player at the position on a nightly basis. It appears that he will be forced to in tonight’s divisional matchup against the Magic. With Robin Lopez very much questionable to play after sustaining a quad injury on Monday, Len figures to see ample playing time.

One need not complicate this analysis too much. When Lopez went down early on Monday night with the injury, Len was thrust into a hefty role by default. Even if Lopez is able to dress and be available tonight, Len certainly figures to have the upper hand in terms of playing time. In 29 minutes on Monday, Len grabbed eight rebounds. Together with 13 points and four blocks, the boards rounded out a solid overall line. Len has only played 29 minutes one other time in the last 10 games. He turned in a nine-rebound performance in that outing as well.

While Len is far from a player who will blow anyone away, he has proven that, when given enough minutes, he can be a factor on the glass. The Magic and Wizards are both two of the better rebounding teams in the NBA. That said, Orlando no longer has All-Star center Nikola Vucevic patrolling the interior. Play the over on 6.5 rebounds for Len tonight.

Nikola Jokic Under 9.5 Assists

Nikola Jokic NBA betting picks tonight over/under assists

Betting against Jokic is never an easy thing to do. The Joker has been on an incredible tear statistically this season. It’s no surprise that he has emerged as the NBA betting favorite to win MVP as other contenders have been forced out of action with injuries. Jokic is nearly averaging a triple-double on the season, recording 26.4 points, 10.9 rebounds and 8.6 assists on a per-game basis. That last number in the assists column stands out in that it is nearly one whole assist lower than the NBA player props line of 9.5 for tonight’s game.

NBA betting picks NBA player props Nikola Jokic

The Awesemo NBA Player Props Tool is keen on betting under on Jokic’s total assists tonight. Jokic and the Nuggets are set to host the Spurs in the first of two consecutive games between the teams. In the only previous head-to-head matchup this season, Gregg Popovich’s crew had varying results in trying to contain Jokic. Although Jokic went off for 35 points in the 10-point Spurs win, he finished with just five assists.

Also look at Jokic’s recent stat lines for an additional reason to believe that tonight’s NBA betting line may be slightly inflated. While it’s true that he has registered back-to-back games with double-digit assist totals, keep in mind that Denver was without co-star Jamal Murray in each of those contests. Murray is officially questionable to play tonight, and his return would only further support a play to the under on 9.5 assists for Jokic. Prior to the last two games, Jokic had come in under 9.5 assists in five straight games. Look for some regression to the mean in tonight’s matchup.

Jae Crowder Under 2.5 Made 3-Pointers

NBA betting NBA player props NBA prediction Jae Crowder 3-pointers

Only the Knicks have a better 3-point defense than the Jazz this season. Opponents have connected on just 34.4% of 3-pointers against Utah this season, a big reason why the Jazz have the NBA’s third-best scoring defense at just 107.2 points allowed per game. That’s not exactly a positive sign for any Suns shooters, Crowder included. While his 38.5% shooting from deep on the season is nothing to sneeze at, this matchup is far from desirable.

In addition, Crowder has slumped in recent days. An 0-for-9 performance five games ago stands out as a particularly poor showing, as Crowder has only surpassed 11 points once in the last six games. He has come up short of 2.5 made triples in each of the last two games. Furthermore, his attempts aren’t exactly promising that he will get there tonight against a suffocating Utah defense.

After jacking 26 shots from deep over a three-game stretch (and only hitting seven of them), it would appear that someone got in Crowder’s ear. In the three games since, he has attempted 11 3-pointers. If he attempts a similar 3 to 5 in tonight’s game, he would have to shoot better than 50% in order to go over the NBA betting line of 2.5. Bet against that happening against the Jazz’s strong perimeter defense.
