Yesterday’s NBA Player Props Recap

It was another strong Wednesday for our NBA betting picks. Cole Anthony did in fact see reduced minutes once again on his way to falling short of 5.5 rebounds. It was partly because of a hard hit he took to the head, so hopefully he will be all right going forward. Derrick Rose also fell short of 16.5 points to net us two winners yesterday. Jakob Poeltl got one assist, but only saw 13 minutes of action and failed to go over 1.5 for the game.

Jalen McDaniels Over 5.5 Rebounds

Those who have been following the NBA player props column throughout the week will recognize this pick. McDaniels secured his first career double-double on Tuesday with 10 points and 12 rebounds in 39 minutes of action. The massive minutes total was the result of three key contributors in the Hornets frontcourt missing the game. Given that both Miles Bridges and Cody Martin will once again be out for Thursday’s matchup against the Bulls, why not ride with McDaniels once again?

It wasn’t but a few games ago that it appeared McDaniels had become an afterthought in Charlotte’s rotation. But after amassing nine boards in just 15 minutes on Saturday, he has been given another shot. Of course, the injuries and other absences to his teammates have certainly helped the cause. Even with P.J. Washington returning to the lineup tonight, McDaniels should still be in line for at worst 28 to 30 minutes. The NBA betting line hasn’t moved from Tuesday’s offering, so it’s worth jumping on once again.

Pascal Siakam Over 3.5 Assists

The Awesemo NBA Betting Player Props Tool is coming through today with a very intriguing plus-money recommendation. Pascal Siakam has been very up-and-down this season across the board. His assist numbers have been no exception to that general rule. But with tonight’s NBA betting line set nearly one assist lower than his season per-game average of 4.4, the even-money odds on the over are certainly appealing.

Pascal Siakam NBA betting NBA player props

Arguably Toronto’s best player, minutes are unlikely to be a concern for Siakam. That is especially the case tonight in a matchup against the Wizards, the same team that the Raptors trail by three games for the final play-in tournament spot. The Wizards are also the worst scoring defense in the NBA, so Siakam should have ample opportunity to feed open teammates for baskets. On top of all that, O.G. Anunoby and Chris Boucher have already been officially ruled out. Meanwhile, Yuta Watanabe is also questionable. Siakam will have a big role and has a real shot to cash these +100 odds and go over 3.5 assists.

Ivica Zubac Over 6.5 Rebounds

Ivica Zubac

Anytime the crosstown rivals clash, it’s always a game of intrigue. Unfortunately, LeBron James won’t be joining in on the action tonight, nor will Clippers center Serge Ibaka. The latter is set to remain sidelined with a back injury. This figures to pave the way to a solid minutes load for Zubac once again. There is a lot to like about Zubac, including his prospects to exceed the NBA betting line of 6.5 rebounds in tonight’s game.

Over the last 13 games, Zubac has not had fewer than six rebounds on any occasion. Furthermore, he has exceeded six boards (and tonight’s NBA player props threshold) in 10 of those contests. He has done so in each of the Clippers’ last three games, including an eight-rebound performance on Tuesday. Despite spending much of the year as the backup and receiving fluctuated playing time, Zubac is still averaging 7.3 boards per game. That’s good for 30th in the NBA. Zubac has a knack for getting after it on the glass, and that figures to be no different in tonight’s rivalry game.
