How to Bet Clippers vs. Nuggets Tonight: Best NBA Bets & Player Props 1/19/22

The last time these two teams got together Denver watched a 25-point lead disintegrate into the valley air. Revenge or not, the Nuggets will certainly have that loss to the Clippers on their mind as they reunite in Denver tonight. The Nuggets come into this game winners of three of their last five games, led by Nikola Jokic no matter the outcome. The team gets a needed boost to their depth, as Austin Rivers returns from a non-COVID illness. Speaking of COVID protocols, Nicolas Batum entered them on Wednesday, while the Clippers are hoping to get Luke Kennard back as early as tonight. Los Angeles is still down Paul George for at least the rest of January and continues to ride the long haul of no Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers come in fresh off a win where they lit up Indiana for 139 points.

Best Clippers vs. Nuggets NBA Bets Today & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop shop for value and where to place a wager. The best part is the tool is free and easy to use. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Nuggets -4.5 First Half Spread (-110, BetMGM)

This is not the typical mid-January game for Denver, which is going through the motions against a worse team beaten up by injuries. Sometimes teams or players need a little extra incentive to avoid any letdown, something to remind them that game No. 43 on the season has significance. While the Nuggets may not blow out the Clippers or get up as big as they did in their recent loss, they will certainly try to exorcise the demons. Denver will try to knock out the Clippers with one solid haymaker. Jokic and his crew of Will Barton, Aaron Gordon and Jeff Green should hand out beatdowns on every early possession. The Clippers know it is coming too, which may actually make this worse for Los Angeles. Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris will not have enough firepower to keep up with an incentivized Nuggets team. Plus, Los Angeles is near the bottom of the league in scoring offense, 26th in the NBA, scoring just 104.9 points per-game. Do not worry about any blown leads or complacency in the second half, and just pound the Nuggets first half line. Then watch them do the same thing to the Clippers.

OddsShopper can sort by first half instead of just a game, so bettors can grab an extra point or simply know the best return on each play.

Ivica Zubac Over 6.5 Rebounds (+110, Caesars)

OddsShopper loves this bet, with an expected win rat of 70% and a 46% expected ROI. Awesemo has Zubac projected for nearly 1.5 more rebounds than the number at 7.9 on the night. All of that with the plus-money return makes this the best play on the board for this game. This one is about how much foul trouble Ivica Zubac can avoid, as he has gone under these number when his minutes were limited. Assuming he will not be on the bench early with three fouls, Zubac should cruise past the 6.5 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic 14+ Rebounds (-111, FanDuel)

Awesemo has Jokic projected for 15.5 rebounds tonight, combined with OddsShopper seeing a 79% chance of Jokic going over 12.5 boards. Since the books are going to require laying close to -175 on the lower number, bettors can play the projection instead of just the prop on the book. By going to 14-plus rebounds, this drops to a more favorable return. Jokic comes off a 15-rebound night and should have a more favorable matchup with nobody on Los Angeles to push him around. Bettors can push to 16-plus rebounds for a +200 return, but there is extra risk with Denver possibly blowing out the Clippers.

Jeff Green Under 12.5 Points (-120, DraftKings)

It is no surprise to see Jeff Green’s prop a little higher after a monster performance then dud in his previous two games. But with the Nuggets getting healthier, it stands to reason that his numbers would dip, especially tonight with a couple of players back for Denver. OddsShopper has Green staying under 12.5 points at a 59% expected win rate. That is combined with Awesemo’s projection of Green only scoring 11.2 points. Green only scored 4 points last time out against Utah and should not be a key cog in any role against the Clippers. Green would need a hefty blowout in order to sniff the 12.5 tonight.

Will Barton 3+ Made 3-Pointers (+172, FanDuel)

Will Barton is hovering around this number, and it is only a matter of time before he breaks through. In his last eight games since the start of January, Barton has had fewer than six attempts from 3 just one time. Every other game he has had six attempts, except for last game where he had eight 3-point attempts. There is plenty of volume to go around for Barton and less of a roadblock with the Clippers down key defenders. Denver will try to shoot the lights out at home early on, feeding guys like Barton. That will also take some defensive pressure off of Jokic if the Clippers cannot double him every time.
