How to Bet Jazz vs. Suns Tonight: Best NBA Bets & Player Props 1/24/22

Two of the top teams in the West, and the entire NBA, will clash Monday night in what should come down to a battle of attrition. On the surface it is the Jazz who are down the bigger pieces, as Donovan Mitchell is still in the concussion protocol and Rudy Gobert is doubtful. The Suns are without Cam Payne and Jae Crowder, and they are not hopeful that Deandre Ayton will play. Utah has dropped three of four, struggling to find consistent play without their star power. Meanwhile, the Suns, even with Devin Booker struggling from the field, have won nine of 10, as Chris Paul continues to lead the league in assists.

Best Jazz vs. Suns NBA Bets Today & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop shop for value and where to place a wager. The best part is the tool is free and easy to use. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Under 221 (-110, DraftKings)

There are not enough key components, at least on one team, for this to be a true test of offense. The Jazz are closer to what they were in their loss to the Warriors in a lower-scoring affair against a better defense like the Suns. While Phoenix is loaded with Paul and Booker, not having a couple of weapons will slow down their offense, from Ayton in the paint to Payne and Crowder from outside. Bettors will not have to rely on defense so much as lack of consistent offense from the Jazz.

Chris Paul Over 9.5 Assists (+100, Caesars)

Paul is dominating the NBA when it comes to dishing out assists and has a favorable matchup with the depleted Jazz. He should be able to get into the lane and continue to create for his teammates. Awesemo has Paul projected for 10.4 assists and OddsShopper has a 62% chance of it hitting. Bettors get plus-money back on Paul basically doing what he does every night, with a built-in advantage of Utah being down Mitchell and Gobert as a presence in the pain. There should be little concern the Suns blowout Utah to the point where Paul’s minutes are impacted, as there will be a healthy amount of volume for Paul with the ball in his hands.

JaVale McGee Over .5 Assists (-110, Caesars)

JaVale McGee stands to see an increase in minutes with Ayton sitting out tonight. The Suns are also down a couple of contributors in Payne as a distributor and Bridges as a slasher. Chris Paul will certainly get guys like McGee involved from a scoring standpoint, but all he needs is one swing pass or extra pass to a wide-open shooter for this to hit. This type of prop usually has higher juice, but only laying -110 makes it even more enticing. OddsShopper has this bet hitting at a 59% rate combined with an 11% expected ROI, but Awesemo has McGee projected for 0.9 assists on the night.

Mikal Bridges 15+ Points (+168, FanDuel)

Bettors can build this prop by using the combination of OddsShopper and Awesemo’s free projection. The books have Bridges at 12.5 points with a good return of +100 at FanDuel. There is built-in volume for Bridges, as he had against the Pacers. This is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of Bridges getting more looks, as Crowder and Payne sit and Booker is inconsistent. Bettors get a nice bump on the return at +168 for a guy who should be taking upwards of 14 to 15 shots tonight. The Jazz launch 3’s, and the Suns are one of the best teams defending it, so expect a lot of long misses and transition hoops for Phoenix. Bridges should feast on Utah for at least 15 points.

Cam Johnson 4+ 3’s (+200, FanDuel)

There should be plenty of opportunities to shoot the 3-ball tonight for anyone on the Suns. While Bridges should get an increase amount of looks from the floor, those will not necessarily be from 3. Cam Johnson already has a bump in his volume from three while seeing an increase in minutes tonight. It is the same scenario with Bridges above, except it is with Johnson and 3-pointers. Johnson should be a main benefactor of the Jazz hopelessly launching long-balls against one of the league’s top 3-point defenses, as the Suns will shoot the Jazz out of the building. Johnson has had at least six attempts from deep in three of his last four games.
