Knicks +5.5 First Half Spread: -110 (FanDuel)

The Knicks have earned their recent high praise, even if it is just over three games. They had a perfect opportunity to succumb to the pressure and hype surrounding just winning two straight but destroying the Mavericks. This is not a letdown spot for New York in Memphis, at least not in the first half. The Knicks may not have the talent or legs to outlast teams at the end of a long road trip, but they certainly have the adrenaline to come out firing. This feels more like a hockey zone where a bad team can crank out four or five straight wins just because it could not get much worse. There is also a great matchup here for both Randle and Barrett to exploit, which at the very least should help mitigate the damage done by Morant. The Knicks are playing with a ton of confidence and are not good enough to look ahead to the Nets. Be it pride, better shooting, taking advantage of rebounding matchups or teams just going through motions, the Knicks can sneak into Memphis and steal a half, but just the first half.

Morant comes off a 2-4 night from 3, but that was in a big beating of the Pelicans where he did not need to shoot a ton. He averaged 4.5 attempts in February but is north of six in March. That is enough volume combined with the favorable matchup to get Morant 5.5 looks tonight from 3. He is shooting well enough where he could sneak in three makes off six attempts alone, but there should be an added bump with 3-point shots against the Knicks.
