How to Bet Warriors vs. Mavericks Tonight: Expert NBA Betting Picks & Player Props 1/5/22

Normally it is teams in the NBA trying to maneuver around COVID, postponements and 10-day contracts. Thankfully for both Golden State and Dallas, it is about fielding a healthy roster and extending win streaks. Monday marked a full return to a healthy Warriors lineup, minus Klay Thompson and James Wiseman, and the Mavericks welcomed back Luka Doncic and Tim Hardaway Jr. The one constant remains for Golden State in Stephen Curry, but at least Dallas is better equipped tonight at home. Dallas is looking for its fourth straight victory, while the Warriors are building on a two-game win streak. Let’s head to OddsShopper and take advantage of the 100% free tool to get the best value on a side and player props.

Warriors vs. Mavericks NBA Betting Picks & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop shop for value and where to place a wager. The best part is the tool is free and easy to use. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Warriors -5 (-106, FanDuel)

Unfortunately for Dallas, they are still not 100% back, as Kristaps Porzingis remains on the COVID list. The Warriors have Jordan Poole back in the fold, as is Draymond Green, also returning from COVID. The big difference here is the Mavericks are missing a top-three player. Getting less than 6 points against a Dallas team missing their second-best player is worth playing. Doncic and Curry may lead the headlines and bring people to the seats, but Poole and Andrew Wiggins are going to fuel this victory.

Maxi Kleber Over 8.5 Points (+102, FanDuel)

OddsShopper allows for sorting by multiple options, including best expected ROI, which lead to the Maxi Kleber play. No Porzingis means more minutes and shots for Kleber and less of a focus for the Warriors. Awesemo has Kleber projected for 9.8 points. OddsShopper has an expected win rate of 63%, which provides a good shot at this bet hitting more often than not. Kleber has gone over the number in two straight games and has a strong chance to repeat without Kristaps on the floor.

Jalen Brunson Over 4.5 Points (-114, FanDuel)

Doncic is back, but that does not spell the end for Jalen Brunson, especially as a facilitator. Using the OddsShopper sorting tool by expected win rate, this bet has a 65% chance of hitting over and an expected ROI of 22%. Awesemo has Brunson projected at 5.5 assists, one full assist higher than what the books are giving. Brunson’s last game was the first in 10 outings where he failed to go over 4.5 assists. It is even easier when the focus now shifts on Doncic and Hardaway to pick up scoring slack from Porzingis’ absence. Brunson is still getting minutes and starting despite having Doncic alongside in the backcourt, so there is no reason to doubt Brunson will be dishing out assists tonight.

Stephen Curry Over 5.5 Assists (+115, PointsBet)

Awesemo has Curry projected for 6.1 assists, and OddsShopper gives it a 55% chance of hitting. The return, matchup and everyone being back (minus Thompson and Wiseman) all look great for this bet. Not having Otto Porter or Andre Iguodala does not do anything to limit Curry’s assists, but having Green, Poole and Wiggins all back together means more targets for Curry. The Mavericks are going to throw everything they can to slow down Curry, and he may make it easier on himself by softening up the defense with some early passes.

Andrew Wiggins 4+ 3-Pointers (+420, FanDuel)

Wiggins needs to hit just one more 3 than he has recently and this will hit. The attempts are there for Wiggins no matter which Warriors player comes back from COVID or injury. Outside of Thompson walking onto the floor Wednesday night, the only Warriors player who will take more 3’s will be Curry. Wiggins launched four 3’s against the Heat and six in the previous game, and he also averaged over six 3’s a game in the month of December. The return for three-plus 3-pointers cuts into more than half of this return.
