However, they still have motivation to win tonight since only one game separates them from the sixth-seeded Heat. New York is coming off a win over the Clippers in which Derrick Rose was very efficient off the bench. He led the team with 25 points while also racking up six rebounds and eight assists. However, it’s Julius Randle who Awesemo expects to lead the team in scoring tonight, as he’s projected for 25 points against the team that drafted him. He has been nothing short of terrific this season, averaging career highs in points (23.9), rebounds (10.3), assists (5.9) and 3-point percentage (41.3%). The Lakers need to get back on track. They are coming off a win, though they lost eight of the 10 games prior. The Lakers listed LeBron James as out for tonight, though many are saying that he still could play, proving the rules truly are fluid for him. It was the Anthony Davis show in the Lakers’ last game, as he put up a 42-point double-double and added three steals and three blocks. Still, it was a team effort with four other teammates posting double-digit points. Whether LeBron is back tonight or not, Davis will have to win the battle with Randle for the Lakers to win.

Nonetheless, it’s tough to truly pick this game with that gigantic news looming. It would be surprising to see the Lakers lose this game if LeBron returns.
