The Warriors have entered this game as winners of four straight games, fighting their way back up to .500. Even more impressive is that they have won their past two games on the road. Still, the wins came against the Thunder and Cavaliers, which doesn’t offer much belief that Golden State has become a competent road team. Kelly Oubre is currently questionable to return from a wrist injury tonight after missing the past four games. Steph Curry, obviously, has been the biggest reason for the Warriors’ recent success. He has averaged 38.2 points on 54.5% shooting over the past five games. However, Curry has shot three percent worse on the road this season. Awesemo projects Curry to score over 30 points again, but the Warriors will likely need someone else to step up for them to win in Boston.

After a stretch of losing seven of 10 games, the Celtics have gone on to win seven of their past eight games. This includes winning five straight games, with the past three wins being against current Western Conference playoff teams. The Celtics won the last game thanks to a big performance from Jaylen Brown. He totaled 40 points on 85% shooting to go along with nine rebounds and three assists. Today, Awesemo is projecting Brown to lead the Celtics in scoring yet again, projecting him for nearly 27 points. Meanwhile, Awesemo is projecting Jayson Tatum for 25 and Kemba Walker for nearly 20, giving the Celtics’ three stars a pretty nice offensive day. Meanwhile, Robert Williams is out again, and the Celtics continue to await Evan Fournier’s return from COVID protocols.

Both teams are currently in a hot stretch. However, I don’t believe that the Warriors can win on the road just because they defeated the Cavs and Thunder. Not only have the Warriors been bad straight-up on the road this season, but they are also 11-18 ATS on the road as well. They are also 12-21 ATS as an underdog. Boston is only 14-12-1 ATS at home this season, but they are playing much better as of late. I’m picking them to cover the 4.5-point spread, which doesn’t feel like much in this case. Since both teams have loved the unders lately, let’s go with that as well.

Prediction: Celtics -4.5, UNDER 228.5
