Following an all-day MLK Monday in the Association, the NBA rolls on with a two-game late slate for Tuesday. Despite the slimmer pickings, we’ll have to look a bit closer to find the best values available as we narrow down our NBA betting picks using the OddsShopper tool. With interesting matchups across the court in both games, we’ll take into consideration a variety of applicable player stats, rotations and team trends to help in identifying the best NBA betting odds for Tuesday’s Western Conference action. I’m focusing in on the Zion Williamson and Bojan Bogdanovic player prop bets for tonight’s Pelicans – Jazz game.

NBA Betting Picks: NBA Odds & Player Props | Jan. 19
NBA Pick: F Zion Williamson, OVER 8.5 Rebounds

The 5-7 Pelicans head into Vivint Arena to take on the 9-4 Jazz in what will be a battle between two of the league’s top four teams in rebounds per game. With an intriguing matchup in the post between Steven Adams and Rudy Gobert, Adams draws one of the toughest assignments in the league when it comes to post play. Yet it’s the matchup between Zion Williamson and Royce O’Neale that’s every bit as attention getting, with a rebound player prop for Williamson set at 8.5, including favorable +115 betting odds.
Although the task may be a daunting one against this Jazz roster, Williamson is essentially tied with Josh Hart as the team’s second-leading rebounder with 8.3 rebounds per game. He may actually stand to benefit from the return of guard Lonzo Ball, should indications hold firm. Albeit a small sample size, Williamson averages 9.6 rebounds per 36 minutes with Adams and Ball on the court while averaging 32.4 minutes per game this season. Since Williamson runs with the bench about a quarter of the time, Williamson sees time alongside Jaxson Hayes when Adams is resting. There Williamson sees a slight dip in his rebounding (8.1 rebounds per 36 minutes).
Utah, while being one of the league’s slower-paced teams, is slightly paced up for the Pelicans (98.31), and more possessions means more potential rebounds. In his time facing Jazz starters, Williamson should see his fair share of O’Neale, where Williamson has a three-inch height advantage with insane vertical and athletic capability. Getting decent plus-money NBA betting odds on an achievable rebound total feels like considerable value.
NBA Pick: F Bojan Bogdanovic, OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made

As we shift gears over to the 3-Pointers’subsection of OddsShopper, we find some extremely reasonable NBA betting odds for Utah wing Bojan Bogdanovic. Coming in at even money on just three or more 3-pointers, the odds on Bogdanovic to hit his total appear quite favorable given what we know of his capabilities.
While his playing time is down slightly this year at 30.3 minutes per game (compared to 33.1 minutes per game last season), Bogdanovic is averaging 6.5 3-point attempts per game this season and doing 56.6% of his scoring from behind the arc. He is also drawing quite possibly the best opponent for hitting 3’s. New Orleans ranks dead last in the NBA 3-pointers allowed per game, surrendering just shy of 16 per 48 minutes. Most notably, against small forwards they rank 27th in 3’s allowed.
On a day rather shy on betting odds available, Jazz – Pelicans provides plenty of value to entertain the evening while trying to add a bit to the bankroll. Getting even money Bogdanovic’s shooting, averaging three 3’s per game and four per game in his past three outings, is more than fair value to add to NBA betting picks.
