The Prop Report: NBA Picks Presented By No House Advantage | Sept. 24
LeBron James — OVER 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Coming off a disappointing Game 3 loss, something tells me Anthony Davis and LeBron are going to come out guns blazing tonight. It’s not really that hot of a take considering the talent and track records of these two superstars, especially James. That’s why I want the over on all of his production tonight, as there are a multitude of ways James impacts the game. He’s averaging exactly nine rebounds and nine assists per game in this series, so taking the over on either of those at 8.5 props feels less optimal than betting on him to smash overall. While we don’t need a massive triple-double like we saw from him in Game 3, it’s not like it would be shocking to see it happen again.
Nikola Jokic — OVER 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
If you thought LeBron had a low total prop on NHA today, Jokic’s is a joke. Through three games of this series, Jokic is averaging 24.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists with a whopping 30.4% usage rate. The best part is those numbers include a Game 1 where he only played 25 minutes due to foul trouble and a blowout. If Jokic can simply keep his hands to himself on the defensive end of the floor, he’s racking up stats at a rate that should easily go over this total. This is unquestionably my favorite prop to utilize in the five-point confidence spot on No House Advantage today.
Rajon Rondo — UNDER 9.5 Points
The regression bug has bitten Rondo hard in this Nuggets series, as he hasn’t come close to producing like he did against the Houston Rockets. Through three games of this series, Rondo is only averaging 6.3 points in 24.2 minutes per game. I’m concerned that he had his minutes bumped up to 30 in Game 3, but he’s still a pass-first point guard who hasn’t reached double-digit scoring in his past four outings. I expect that trend to continue, so I will happily be on the under as one of my favorite NBA prop picks of the night.
