NBA Odds: Prop Bets for Aug. 5
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Points (Over 19.5)
Dennis Schroder left the bubble for the birth of his child. This is 18.9 points per game that needs to be made up for, and Gilgeous-Alexander will be a big part in doing just that. Last game, he put up 24 points. He also averages 21.3 points in three games against the Lakers. The Lakers do not have anyone that matches up well against Gilgeous-Alexander, and on top of this, we could see reduced minutes for some of the Lakers players, with them locking up the top seed in the West already.
Danilo Gallinari – Points (Over 19.5)
Just like Gilgeous-Alexander above, Gallinari benefits from the loss of Schroder. With Schroder out, we see that Gallinari gets a small point boost (+0.04/minute). This just means he is asked to shoot more, which we saw last game, as he scored 20 points. Like Gilgeous-Alexander, he also averages 21.3 points in three games against the Lakers this season.
Gordon Hayward – PTS+REB (Over 24.5)
Kemba Walker is out for the Celtics tonight, which benefits Hayward. With Walker off the floor, Hayward scores 19.14 points and grabs 6.72 rebounds per 36 minutes. However, we have seen Hayward’s rebounding production pick up in the bubble, averaging eight boards per game. He should be in for a solid outing against the Nets.
