NBA Odds Boost
Nikola Vucevic Scores 25+ Points (+115 PointsBet)
This is yet another NBA betting suggestion that is too big of an odds boost to pass up. Vucevic has dominated the interior against the Bucks in this series, and the NBA odds moved this wager from -105 to +115? This is a slam dunk NBA prediction because Vucevic has scored at least 25 points in three of the four games as he’s single-handedly kept the Magic in this series. Orlando knows its best chance to extend the series is for Vucevic to have a big game, and he’s performed up to the task thus far.
The Bucks aren’t completely ignoring Vucevic by any stretch, but it’s clear that they are more focused on slowing down the four guys around him. His three 30-point games in this series are more than he had in all of the regular season, but when a big man is in a groove, it’s hard to break it. Fortunately, this bet didn’t require us to bet on the Magic to win because that’s a long shot. Instead, we just have to count on Vucevic continuing to do what he’s done for the past week against Milwaukee. That sounds like a good NBA pick to me.
LeBron James Scores 30+ Points AND Lakers Win (+225 BetMGM)
James has scored 30 points in each of the last two games, and that was with a healthy Anthony Davis on the floor. Davis dealt with back spasms last game, but despite him playing tonight, it will be James who again carries the brunt of the scoring load for the Lakers. He dominated Game 4 in the first three quarters before getting a chance to rest in the fourth, so we know he can put up points in a hurry in this game. The news Damian Lillard is out with a knee sprain only adds to the fuel James will have to end the game as early as possible.
James’ scoring is obviously the most difficult part of this wager because the Lakers should be able to handle Portland sans Lillard. The Trail Blazers will obviously put up a spirited effort with their season on the line, but Lillard did so much for that team that it’s hard to envision them beating a James-led Lakers squad in an elimination game. After Los Angeles lost the opening game, the entire team has played with a different purpose, especially James, so he’ll lead the way to another big win.
