Jimmy Butler OVER 8.5 Rebounds

It almost feels like make-believe, but I’m on a 7-0 prop bet heater in these NBA Finals. I don’t want to jinx it, so let’s get straight to discussing my two favorites for today, starting with Butler over on 8.5 rebounds. We’re getting some plus money here, and more importantly, we’re getting almost an entire game’s worth of minutes from Butler tonight.

Barring foul trouble, Erik Spoelstra will probably run his superstar for nearly 48 minutes like he did in Game 5. His points prop inflated to 26.5 and a price I’m not willing to pay. But after three consecutive double-digit rebound outings already, I fully expect Butler to keep the streak alive tonight on volume of minutes alone. Go over 8.5 here for a unit.

Anthony Davis OVER 9.5 Rebounds

I’m sad that books finally adjusted LeBron James rebounding prop to a proper 10.5 rebounds, but that means it’s time to jump over on Davis’ 9.5 number instead. Dwight Howard has been basically non-existent in this series, playing under 17 minutes in all five Finals games to this point. That means it has been an abundance of run at the five for Davis, his preferred position.

Bam Adebayo still looks slightly off returning from a neck injury, so it’s time to take advantage if there’s something there and bet on the opposing center’s production. That so happens to be Davis, who now has the better number than teammate James. This is a half-unit bet for me, as a slight ankle tweak for Davis in Game 5 might slightly affect his minutes. Even so, this number is too good for me not to be invested on this, my second-favorite NBA pick for Game 6.
